Well what a very pleasant surprise this park was. Situated beside Solomontown beach, which seems to be quite popular, there were families playing in the park, people fishing off the jetty and groups walking by. there wasn't anyone in the water but I think this had more to do with the weather. The caravan park is beautifully set out with lovely garden areas full off roses, the park is clean and well maintained and the amenities are the same. The majority of sites are large and drive through, we are opposite the amenities which gives us a lovely view of the roses. The service when booking in was very friendly and the lady who booked us in obliged with our requirements. The park is a couple of minutes from the town centre and the rates were very good. This park is thoroughly recommended.

Back for second visit. Lovely welcoming staff. Improvements done since last here in March 2025. On the waters edge. Great spot.

New Managers of the park. Lovely, friendly people. River view of Pirie River. The breeze is wonderful. Over looking the Flinders Ranges at sunset. Bit of rock fishing in the afternoon. Great spot. Close to town, driving. Walk 10mins to the nearest pub for dinner.

Staff not very helpful. Cabin run down and dirty. Edge of stairs to cabin a trip hazard for elderly. We were very disappointed with our stay. We have been to some nice places with cheap accommodation and it was cleaner than here. The silicone around the tiles was black with mould.

Booking was made back in august got told that we can arrive at 10am as we had booked sites, arrived 5 mins early the mangers were so rude had a go at us for parking in wrong spot when checking in (there is no signs to indicate where to park) I asked for disabled toilet/shower key I had to explain my disability which made me feel uncomfortable n the look I got from the lady was uncalled for. There is NO shade, spider webs n spiders in female toilets the camp kitchen had nothing but a bbq, n hot plate thingy. They also called us a liar

If there had been another caravan park in the area, we would not have stayed at this one. There was no camp kitchen, no wifi and the facilities could have done with a very good clean. They are charging same as other caravan parks for powered sites which have all you need as well as being clean. Apparently there will be upgrades done in the future, but not sure when. It’s okay for an overnight but not for a few days. It is within walking distance to the water

The check in was efficient and friendly and it sounded nice to be directed to a grassed site. However, this "grass" was really a collection of weeds about ankle high which when wet with rain made entry to the caravan unpleasant. It is claimed that the park is under new management and the first thing could be to demolished or rebuild the amenities. These were poor with missing locks on cubicles, missing window glass in showers leaving a cold wind to blow in. First and last impressions are that this place is run down. Better standards can be observed at Streaky Bay Islands, Laura and Padthaway.

Our stay (two nights) was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Situation was good as close to the beach. Ammenities were clean. Park was quiet and kept well. Nothing to complain about or not recommend it. I can honestly say our stay was nice.
