I would definitely advise against this property. I planned a trip to Houston from St. Louis with my friend, booking hotels in Lufkin, TX, this hotel in Houston, and Hot Springs, AR. Unfortunately, due to unavoidable circumstances, my friend lost his job and has to return to his home country, which ruined our entire trip. We ended up canceling all our plans, and while we received full refunds from all the hotels (even the non-refundable ones, thanks to this unexpected situation), this hotel was a different story. They never responded to our phone calls or emails and showed no understanding of our predicament. After checking reviews later, I discovered many complaints about excessive charges and a complete lack of refund options. This is truly a disappointing way to conduct business, and I would never recommend this place or the Choice Hotels brand to anyone.

We were pleasantly surprised with how nice this facility is. It was very clean and seemed new. The beds were very comfortable and the linens throughout were soft and nice. We have no complaints but it was a bit hard to find as you have to go through the shell parking lot to find it. We did not go to breakfast but they had a nice big area for it. We found the price to be great for this hotel.

This Hotel is a hidden gem! Its location is close to but set away from the hustle and bustle. The room was very inviting, fresh and super clean. It felt as though it was brand new. I chose it for the affordable price and accessibility and was pleasantly surprised when I walked in. I found a room that is equal to the higher priced hotels. The hotel is well managed with a helpful and caring staff. They prepare a wonderful breakfast buffet and the have a hard working cleaning staff. This is the place for you if you need a quiet home base while waiting for a flight or visiting local attractions.

This hotel appeared to be new or recently renovated, which was very nice, but our room had some safety issues as well as some cleanliness issues. The safety issue was that there was an electrical outlet without a face cover and then the smoke detector on the ceiling was missing the cover and wires hanging from it as you can see from the photos that I posted. I also noticed in the room that the staff did not do a good job on cleaning because there was debris found in the corners of the floor along with spider webs. It is also a little difficult in finding the entrance to the parking lot being that there is a small signage next to the Shell gas station that shows the entrance. If you miss that entrance then you have to drive quite a distance to be able to turn around on the other side of the freeway to come back around to the entrance of the parking lot. This hotel sits directly behind the Shell gas station.
