Beautiful room with high quality fixtures & fittings. Well stocked breakfast basket and refrigerator stocked with milk, juice, water and yoghurt and fruit.

It was an ideal location for visits to local heritage sites and for Colchester. Room clean and comfortable, although a small chair would have been helpful for eating breakfast. Staff very pleasant. Used town car park, free on Sunday and left before charges started at 8am on Monday. Would book again if need to re-visit area. Thanks

Well I must say, I have stayed in hundreds of hotels across the uk and Europe and the way this hotel handed my booking from start to finish was beyond exceptional, from tending to my requests to the little hotel rooms gifts, I was really set back and have to be review this hotel as one of the best I have ever stayed in for the price I paid
To the girls working there who made sure my stay was pleasant, thank you for making it a great stay!

I was concerned about the bottom sash window suddenly falling down when i tried to keep it open, plus there were no window opening restrictors which i felt was a little dangerous.

Excellent little find. Amazing value, comfy king sized bed. Friendly staff at check in, which was quick and simple.
Generous complimentary breakfast hamper, teas and coffees. We asked for extra milk in the morning, which we was given.
Very clean room - great power shower.
Beautiful quiet village. Lots of little shops, bakery and pubs. We ate at The White Heart - Green King (we booked a table) and the food was delicious.
