This is a 3 in 1 hotel complex, merged Novotel, Mercure and Ibis properties, close to Darwin International Airport. Two roundabouts so may take a few runs to get used to accessing hotel carpark, which is part of airport carparking. Inhouse dining or can drive to Casuarina Shopping Centre or Darwin CBD for various dining options.Makes returning rental car very easy.

Hard to find, no signage. Reception for Ibis is at the Novotel. No signs. Tough to find the room. Rooms basic for the price. Not even a bottle of water in the room. Best option is to get an Uber into town rather than stay here

Booked an accessible room. The bathroom was accessible but the tiny bedroom had less than half a metre space both sides. No room to transfer from a wheelchair if required. No room for luggage except in the bathroom. No room for a bedside table or reading light on one side. Kettle was on top of a cupboard and to plug it in had to open small cupboard below with electricity and wires, to access power point. The roller blind was frayed at the side. It was the tackiest hotel room we have ever stayed in. Ibis should be ashamed !

Walking distance from the airport, however I did find it hard to get to as the signage was very limited. Good place to stay when your flight arrives either late at night or early in the morning.

Hard to find location and average accommodation
Warning: The location that shows on Google Maps is NOT the location of the hotel. Google Maps took us 10mins drive away from the airport to a drop in centre, which felt quite unsafe at midnight when our plane landed. Apple Maps correctly shows the location as being the same place as the Mecure and Novotel, right at the airport. There are NO SIGNS for the Ibis - you have to go to the Novotel/Mecure reception to check in.
After we finally found the hotel, things picked up. The Novotel, Mecure, and Ibis all share the grounds and I guess the difference is the rooms themselves. Ours smelled musty and was pretty small (I barely fit between the bed and the wall) but it was fine for our purposes - we were only in Darwin for 24hrs. The airconditioning was excellent. The hotel breakfast was definitely not worth $30 but it was convenient to grab a bite to eat before heading out for the day. The bar area near the pool was very nice, with separate smoking and no smoking areas and good service. We got slushies to cool down in the Darwin heat.
I wouldnt stay here again, but it was fine for the quick trip we had.
