They did give us an upgraded room(English Room)for same price because of double booking our online reservation

Internet wasn't working so no TV. Had to call a number for check in and front desk as there was no one on site. Still no Internet in the morning. And no hot water.

I really appreciated the manager, Karla, texting me to keep me informed of what was happening with the room.
On the downside, and I realize its difficult to do anything about this, but the train blowing its whistle whenever it was rolling by was quite annoying.

Room was clean, staff was friendly. No coffee pot, parking was full when we got back at 10:30pm. Train right in front went all night and was very noisy also air conditioner made a high pitch whistling noise. Hard to sleep.

A small town motel with lots of character. Nearby stores and food options. Easy check-in and check-out and very friendly staff. Great motel at a great price.

Bed bugs
Not much for exterior lighting, so you have to be watching for it or you will miss it if you come at night. No on-site staff, so you have to call a number to check in, you are given a code for the door and have to give your credit card over the phone. At first glance the room looked clean, but smelled a little musty, I was able to open the windows in the room to get some air flow in to air it out. Laying in bed the first night, I saw something move on the blanket in my periphery. It was dark & small, I incorrectly assumed it was a Japanese beetle and absent-mindedly swatted it off the bed. When I awoke the morning I was checking out with bites on my hand, arm & leg, I figured out it was a bedbug. I’m hoping I cleaned my clothing and bags wells enough to not bring any home with me. Be sure to check your mattress, bed frame and bedding thoroughly as you are checking in.

Door didn't feel very secure with standard key and one lock without a chain or anything to secure from inside. Pushed table in front of door each night. Arrived back at motel around 8:30 pm second night and questionnable characters tailgating in parking lot. Was a bit unsettling.

We got to the hotel a little after 5pm. And we called the phone number listed to find our room. It was really easy. The trains do quiet down after 10pm and they start up again about 6am. They are very noisy during the day. Overall we liked it. Great job.
