Three days before my stay, they canceled a fully paid reservation I made four months prior. They basically stole my money and left me with no place to stay. These people are crooks.

We had booked months in advance to stay in the balcony 1 bedroom accommodation and chose this hotel location based on being close to a wedding event to attend near by. There were other options but we like the Marriott hotels and it looked like a really nice place to also have a kitchen and nice balcony view to enjoy the next day. We requested an early check in and communicated through the app with a rep that confirmed they would approve the earlier check in time that we needed so we could get our luggage checked in and set up to attend the wedding taking place during the later check in time. I also received an email confirmation with the approved time that was about 1 month in advance. Unfortunately I received a text from the hotel less than 24 hours stating the guest before us requested a late check out so they couldn’t provide us an early check in and there is nothing they could do. That is completely unacceptable due to the fact that we secured an early check in for a reason and had this confirmed well in advance and the guest before us requested a last minute late check that they will honor so we are left with no alternative but to cancel. I had to text back and forth to insist on getting a live person to address the issue, then when I got ahold of someone after waiting on hold they didn’t want to provide a refund until I confirmed I have emails and the app communications stating the early check in and then agreed to a refund and just a “sorry for the inconvenience “ mumble is not good customer service and we deserve more for this issue we were left to manage last minute. We will never stay in the Marriott brand after this experience and it’s very unfortunate that there wasn’t a better resolution to rectify the error on their end. In addition, the hotel needs to handle issues with a live person and customer shouldn’t have to spend all of this time trying to resolve the issue.

The Sonder North Loop was a great choice for the two of us. It's directly across from Target Field, and we walked to the Stone Bridge and Mill City Museum (about 30 minites), and to the many nearby eateries. The modern and well-furnished room had seperate sleeping and toilet/clost areas, and was very clean - just like the online photos. Our 7th-floor room had a small balcony overlooking Target Field which was fun during the Twins Games. The 18th floor common stea had spectacular views of the Field and the city, with upscale grills, seating, and tables. The Sonder front desk staff was friendly and smiling (be sure to follow the easy Sonder directions to entering the building). The Transit Blue Line station is directly in front of the building and we took it to and from the airport (the train bells and announcements were noisy at night, though). A great stay!

Most unfriendly/unhslpful staff ever, logistics in and out of building are horrible, stay in hotel and cleaning is not included - don’t stay here!

We booked this property for the night prior to and of our wedding. I stayed alone the first night and worried about noise when I followed a large party of people up to our floor. I heard nothing all night, it was super quiet! It’s in a neat location and while the parking / entrance is confusing, the room itself was very clean and quiet.

Amazing Stay, But Watch Out — $200+ for Parking Two Cars for One Night! Review: The hotel itself was fantastic, beautiful, modern, and clean. The Sonder staff were very pleasant and accommodating, and I truly appreciated the quality of the space. It was exactly what my wife and I were hoping for on our weekend away. The view of the city and Target Field from the rooftop was stunning, and the location in the North Loop is perfect for walking to restaurants, breweries, and downtown spots. Sonder’s check-in process was smooth, and the unit felt upscale and thoughtfully designed. But here’s the big warning: we were charged over $200 for parking just two cars for less than 24 hours in the connected garage managed by Interstate Parking. The posted signage listed a $10 weekend rate and a $26 max for 24 hours, so this charge made absolutely no sense. I even asked the on-site parking attendant if the posted “event rate” would override the overnight rate, and was told “No, the overnight rate applies” but that wasn’t honored. Interstate Parking later applied a second “event rate” the next morning, when no event was taking place, and still has not provided any itemized receipt or consistent explanation. Sonder did respond kindly when I brought it to their attention, and I hope they’ll advocate more actively on behalf of guests. This parking issue undermines what was otherwise a really enjoyable experience. If you plan to stay here which I do recommend for everything else confirm parking policies in advance or consider nearby alternatives. Don’t get caught off guard like we did.

I read the reviews on here before I booked this. I concur with the man who said "Read your check in instructions carefully" and you will be fine. It's a long code to get through the door, and those key apps rarely work anywhere so you have to plug the numbers in. That said, once you get the hang of it, it's a beautiful property right next to the ball field and the light rail. There are several great restaurants right there, and many more easily walkable. The bathroom is huge and beautiful and the bed was very comfy. If I'm ever in Minneapolis again I will absolutely stay here. Good job folks!

We have stayed here twice now and found it to fit our needs perfectly. It is more of an Airbnb set up than a true hotel. Once we figured out the logistics of how to get in, everything went smoothly. You can enter directly from the parking garage. Yes, you have to pay for parking but that’s the case everywhere downtown. The place is across the street from Target field and directly on the light rail. Our units have been very clean and well stocked. We will be back!
