The room heaters do not work when it’s cold outside. We changed rooms and other customers did the same. The heat pumps do not work when the temps are in the teens. We froze. The front desk lied about having a heating problem.

We had a good experience at the relatively new Hampton Port Clinton. We were a bit concerned by previous unflattering reviews, but it seems that most of the problems that usually accompany the opening of a brand new hotel have now been rectified, we have nothing negative to report. Staff members were uniformly friendly and helpful, breakfast was good, room was clean and quiet, pool was nice, value was pretty good, location is great.

STAY AWAY!!! NASTY!!! “BODY HAIRS” 🤮 all over bathroom, rm door would lock properly🚨 (& maintenance didn’t repair for the 3 days we were there), hallway wasn’t vacuumed the 3 days, Lake Erie hotel advertises “waterfront” rooms that overlook an algae laden swamp👀 with tires, trash, & construction debris. Elevators nasty - even ceilings👀 Told couldn’t switch rooms because Hilton new construction inspector revoked slew of rooms permit. Due to being on a swamp, MILLIONS OF BUGS at all entrance doors and no bug zappers. Bed (in photo) had less than 6 inches on the side with no side nightstands or shelves, no outlet, no place for phone or drink. This new hotel is a trainwreck. GM Holly refuses to return calls over a week.

We had a Great overnight stay. The hotel is clean and new! It’s not really on the water but a small bay. Breakfast was great and better than standard Hilton.

This hotel was new and it was impeccable! Staff was friendly and we loved our stay. The only thing I would change is having softer sheets.
