As a lifetime Platinum Elite Bonvoy member, I’ve stayed at a variety of Marriott properties over the years, but unfortunately, my recent experience at this one left me extremely disappointed. I stayed at this property twice in the span of 10 days, and on our second visit, both my spouse and I ended up getting food poisoning after eating breakfast at the hotel. I started feeling ill shortly after the meal, while my spouse didn’t start showing symptoms until about two hours later, and unfortunately, spent the entire 5.5-hour drive home sick. It was a miserable experience. I called the hotel that Friday afternoon to report the issue, but there was no manager available at the time, so I left a voicemail. After waiting four days with no response, I called again. I finally spoke with a manager named David, who took zero responsibility for the situation and instead blamed the food poisoning on a prior meal. His tone was dismissive, and I felt that he lacked basic professionalism and courtesy. As a loyal Marriott customer, I expected better handling of the situation and some form of accountability. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this property based on my experience. If you decide to stay here, I sincerely hope they treat you with more respect than I received.

The TownePlace Suites is a great hotel in Germantown. It’s new and clean. Located in a very cute area with lots of restaurants and shops in close proximity. LaQuitha Williams was so warm and welcoming from the minute we checked into the hotel.

Business before pleasure
The hotel was picture perfect. It was very clean and very spacious! I loved the floor plan of the room. I was there for business so not much sightseeing but this hotel was perfectly located for dining and shopping! I highly recommend Moon Cafe! The staff was amazing and so was the food!

Overall the stay was good and the property was nice, but that doesn't mean there aren't some negatives too. The positives are: extremely comfortable beds and pillows (may be the best I've ever experienced in a hotel), kitchenette was very helpful, unit was clean, gym was nice, shower was strong, loved the closet system, liked that we can borrow kitchen supplies from the front desk. The negatives are: my pre-paid King Studio was given away even though I called the day before and was reassured "don't worry, your room won't be given away". So we had to settle for a 2 queen room right next to the elevator and ice machine. Very disappointed with that. We stayed 3 nights and housekeeping never came at all. There was a bowl in the cabinet that had food stuck on it. Yuk! There was a needle in the middle of the walkway in the room (wasn't the carpet vacuumed???). Glad we didn’t step on it….that would have been awful! Breakfast was sub-par in my opinion. By 9am, there was no oatmeal left and no more coming. Apples were the only fruit choice. I had to ask someone washing dishing for some more hard boiled eggs. It was very obvious that the kitchen was sorely understaffed. The food was not replenished and the area was messy. No defined area to leave dirty dishes so people stashed them under the center counter. In the room, the tops to the disposable coffee cups DO NOT FIT the cups, toilet seat seems to be smaller than the bowl and was loose, there was no lotion in the bathroom, AC could be noisy and kept me up for awhile, a lot of the outlets didn't seem to work to charge my phone - 2 nights in a row...not sure if the master switch turned them off? Wished there was hand sanitizer available in the gym and in the breakfast area.

The overall stay was nice BUT I had a $40 charge. On my bill I called the motel TRYING to get a copy of the bill and they wouldn't provide me a copy saying I had to go through *******. Made several attempts to do that but not able to do so

Staff was polite and attentive. However I booked a King room and received a double. Hotel was nearly at capacity and didn’t have any Kings available. I spoke with the front desk and they claimed ******* sent the wrong booking. When checking with ******* they claimed it was the hotel. The front desk person said she would check with management and someone would get back with me. No one did. Secondly in the entry to the hotel they have an aerosol room spray on a timer. It’s super strong and gave me a terrible headache. One time I had the unpleasant experience of walking in just as it was spraying - I breathed some of it in. Gross… Other than those two things the hotel met all of my needs and I was pleased with my stay.

Our stay was nothing short of amazing, from the comfortable beds, hot shower, and helpful staff! LaQuitha at the front desk had a welcoming/warm personality and went out of her way to meet our needs. We will definitely be back for another stay soon!
