Fantastic and can’t wait to go back. The hosts are so friendly and helpful. The entire property is unique and a little paradise on paradise. We liked watching the sunset from the main house patio area. We stayed in the little cottage we’re so comfortable and loved the private pool and outdoor shower. We liked talking with the other guests from all over the world over breakfast and sharing island experiences. It is a very peaceful and quiet place with house animals as an extra bonus.

We had a wonderful time staying here, the property was nice and spacious and clean. It has access via a trail to walk down to the salt flats and see the flamingos. The hostess was wonderful and very nice making us a delicious breakfast every morning, as well as giving us great ideas and tips on where to go.

I hope I can put into words what a special place the Plantation Lodge is and how it has a place in my heart now. It was truly magical. I would hands down recommend a stay to anyone here who wants a lovely, peaceful, stress free environment. From the generously portioned breakfast made with loving hands from Loeki (the pancakes yumm, omelets, fresh juices and coffee all of it - the best)!! The warm welcomes from the doggies, made my day, everyday! It’s all fantastic. Our room was large and well appointed. Clean pool, hiking trails to salt flats, and the small details like tightly made bed and mint, cucumber, orange waters next to the bed upon return from the beach, the library- made this stay truly remarkable. I felt safe and cared for the entire week. I actually cried leaving, there are not many places have ever done that to me. I am already trying to figure out ways to get back. The island is a special place, but I believe it’s the beautiful soul of Loeki and the other awesome guests that also stay there. Just make sure you keep your eye on digger the lab so he doesn’t go off with wandering ladies on the trail, my husband almost made the local news letting digger wander off with them, but we had a laugh about it thankfully! ;) My husband and I will be back. If anyone is hesitating booking, Do not hesitate, you will never regret booking at the Jan Thiel Plantation.
