Absolutely horrible stay here. The extractor fan was so loud and constantly throughout the night I was woken by the doors going and and other guest moving about the property. I should be a allowed a part refund down to the simple need of sleep wasn't not met here at all.

We arrived at the red lion for our stay, firstly they could not find our booking once found they showed us to our room which was in a poor condition and the smell of damp was overwhelming, we immediately looked for another hotel to stop at.

The corridor leading to my room was very musty and wallpaper was peeling off. The bedroom was not clean ,the towel rail fell off the wall and the room smelt.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. Check-in was fine, but it went downhill fast. We were put in a room directly facing a construction site, which woke us up early in the morning. The hotel was clearly quiet, so why on earth were we placed there?
The WiFi didn’t work at all — no connection with the network provided. We work remotely, so we had to waste the morning hot-spotting off our phones. Completely ridiculous for a hotel advertising WiFi.
Then came the worst part — the shower’s hot water tap didn’t work. It turned, but no water came out. The showerhead was covered in limescale, suggesting it hadn’t been used (or cleaned) in ages. Only cold water worked — so no proper shower for us.
We tried calling both the hotel and the out-of-hours number for 2 HOURS with no answer. Eventually, I walked around to the pub to find someone. The door said reception opens at 10 (online said 7), but I found a deliveries number and called. The guy who answered was rude and unhelpful, saying they open at 10:30. He said someone would come in 20 minutes. We waited 40. No one ever came.
We had to check out at 11am with no working shower, no staff contact, no apology. Extremely poor service all around. Won’t be coming back — and I strongly suggest you don’t either

Great budget hotel. Food & staff are excellent. Rooms are basic & of a reasonable size. Car park is a bit limited.

Stay clear! Horrendous
On arrival - car park was full. Even though stated for hotel guests only, after calling the hotel was told it was full with people in the restaurant so they would get a chef to move his car.
Once checked in - got into the room to a very tired room that looked like not been updated for years.
After a long journey- I wanted to just watch the tv. Tried turning it with remote but didn’t work as batteries run out! Got it on with button on tv only to find it had not signal!
Tried to use phone but not much signal so looked in hotel book regards WiFi and tried to log onto one offered in book to find not available!!!!
The toilet was filthy - bath / shower not much better!
Due to warm weather - room had a fan in there but only just felt the fan due to amount of dust on the three blades and outer casing.
Went for a shower - picked up supplied towels and these look like they have not been changed since building was built. Holes in towels, very thing and ends all frayed!!

我们在去机场的前一晚入住,所以不用起那么早。入住手续简单方便。房间设施简单,但还可以。电视不能用,频道也不能调。你可以听到门砰的一声关上,楼上有人走动的声音很大。我们的房间在一楼,窗户朝向马路,这还不算太糟。房间相对干净 - 有些地方确实需要自己动手。评分低的主要原因是晚上天花板多次漏水。幸运的是水没有漏到床上,但我们担心裂缝会越来越大。我们不得不在地板上堆放毛巾来阻挡声音。酒店没有给我们提供紧急情况下的电话号码,所以我们不得不等到早上才报告。
