A nicely remodeled and spotlessly clean room. Very nice people - responsive and concerned to see that our stay was enjoyable. In a small village, with good choices for breakfast and dinner within easy walking distance.

How often do you get to stay in a lovely hotel in a historic building where your host is the daughter of a famous illustrator? The Wind in the Willows has all the modern conveniences, charm, and comforts of home! Our hosts have thought of everything and we enjoyed our stay while marveling at the fall foliage and visiting the Hobart Book Village. The homemade muffins were an added bonus! We will be back!

My daughter and I stayed here for 2 nights for a relaxing weekend and to visit Hobart Book Village. Our hosts, Leslie and Bob, were so friendly! We stayed in the Cottage Room with was so beautifully appointed that I could see myself living there. The personalized touches, hand-written notes and reminders, and fresh blueberry missing upon arrival were amazing. Jefferson is pretty much in the middle of nowhere but thankfully there is a pretty good restaurant that's a 5 minute walk. The property is also very vast and beautiful with plenty of things to do if you choose - badminton, fire pits, etc. Plenty of sitting scattered around. I took a peek at all of the rooms and think the Cottage Room is the nicest. The bedroom was separate from the main room so there was plenty of space! Check it out if you want some peace and quiet!
