We stayed for one night in January as we fancied a weekend in Bellingham to see friends. We came with the dog and had an observatory room that was brilliant, well decorated and clean. The pub itself is welcoming with a good range of beer. We ended the evening here as it was only a short walk upstairs to our room. The breakfast the next day was amazing, you could order anything you wanted so we went for the full english and weren’t disappointed. The staff were all really friendly from the bar staff to the breakfast! We would highly recommend a stay here. We’ll be back in March with the whole family (who have booked all the rooms!)

I wanted to write a review as some of the ones I have read were not as I experienced today. It was a cold and rainy January Sunday, we went into the Black Bull to find a very warm and friendly pub. The young lady behind the bar was very chatty and welcoming. We ordered a Sunday lunch, which came only after a short while. The food was lovely and hot, with lots of beautifully cooked roast beef. There was also plenty of vegetables, stuffing and a super Yorkshire pudding. I definitely recommend a visit to this local pub.

I had an excellent stay at The Black Bull Hotel in Bellingham. The rooms are newly decorated, spotless and extremely comfortable. The atmosphere in the bar was warm and welcoming, making it a fun evening after a long day. With its combination of fresh, high standard rooms and friendly charm, The Black Bull Hotel is easy to recommend. I'd definitely stay again!

Popped in for a drink while staying at Kielder Waterside and ended up staying and having food. Absolutely fantastic meals all round, portion sizes are huge and great value. Highly recommend the pie and the doubled up burger. Staff are all welcoming and friendly and the real fire was lovely on a cold winters afternoon. Would definitely go again and pleased we ended up staying for meals. Nice welcoming atmosphere.
