Shangri-La, once a name synonymous with luxury and excellence, has unfortunately seen a noticeable decline in its standards—largely due to poor management practices and a concerning disregard for both customers and employees. What used to be a hallmark of impeccable service has deteriorated into a string of frustrating experiences for many guests. Reports of delayed responses, unaddressed complaints, and inconsistent service are becoming far too common. Instead of the personalized, attentive care that Shangri-La built its reputation on, many customers are now met with indifference, inefficiency, and, in some cases, outright neglect. Whether it's untrained front-line staff left to fend for themselves or management failing to take accountability for issues, the guest experience no longer reflects the brand’s supposed five-star standards. When feedback is given, it often seems to fall on deaf ears, with no follow up or effort to make things right a clear indicator of a broken customer service culture, things are reportedly just as troubling. Many current and former employees have spoken out about a lack of support from upper management, poor communication, unrealistic expectations, and a toxic work environment. Favoritism, micromanagement, and lack of career progression are common complaints. In some cases, employees have even been discouraged from voicing concerns, creating a culture of fear and silence. The high turnover rate speaks volumes. A company that fails to value and support its workforce cannot expect them to deliver exceptional service something customers are clearly beginning to notice. Shangri-La's current management approach appears out of touch with both the needs of their staff and the expectations of their guests. Until there is a meaningful shift in leadership style, communication, and accountability, the brand risks further damage to its long-standing reputation.

Amazing place and most importantly amazing service! Laqlouq vacances never fails to amaze us! An authentic stay in a very comfort and kids friendly environment. This hotel neat and clean offers much more than a stay, it offers an experience! Thank you for the lovely memories!

This hotel is a dream place! A gem on top of laqlouq mountains. Perfect for a weekend stay with friends. We were lucky to enjoy the snow. The hotel rooms are spacious comfortable and modern. Diner is special too, a mix of international appetizers along with a yummy variety of raclette and fondue! We will be back!

Went there during the weekend, loved the place! Staff are very friendly, food is delicious and healthy. Plenty of space and activities to do. Rooms are nice, you can choose big or small rooms but they are clean and beds are comfortable. It’s an awesome getaway location from noise and traffic

The stay at the hotel was a nice experience . The location is amazing , the stuff is super friendly , the idea of dinner at the hotel that is included in the package was soo special . The only thing that was not soo satisfying was the breakfast , it could be a bit better for such a fancy place . Otherwise everything was good

We had a pleasant stay at Nirvana hotel. Our room was small, however it had a big walk-in shower and the bed was comfortable. The hotel is situated off the main road (in some sort of a compound) and has its own private access so we enjoyed having walks outside without being bothered by passing cars or their noise. Our package included a nice dinner with a really talented musician who played Christmas and country songs. Food is generally good as we enjoyed our lunch and dinner there. Breakfast should be improved since options were limited. Checkin procedure should be improved as guests were required to fill their personal/passport details by hand at the front desk during checkin which caused a queue and longer wait time. These forms can be prefilled by the hotel once reservation is made which guests can just sign on at arrival. (Again this is not a deal breaker but will enhance guest experience). Pros: Location Dinner with live music Lobby design and cozy vibe To improve: Breakfast variety Check-in process

Amazing stay for couples far away from the city buz. Splendid retreat in nature. Hotel is super cozy feels like home. Rooms are modern but without TV. Idea is to spend more time in the lobby and outside. Staff are friendly and 5 star. I recommended for everyone.

we had a great time. It is modern hotel with an industrial style. Rooms have a nice view and offer you all your needs. The view of the room is panoramic. The staff is really nice and helpful. It was a really nice experience.
