This is the first time we have stayed in a hotel with no front desk. No problems. Everything is done online, from check-in through to any question resolution. You use the Sondor apps live chat for any questions and they are really quick to respond. We used it twice to confirm washing machine instructions and luggage storage and it worked really well. Room is clean and has new facilities (stove/oven, microwave, dishwasher, fridge, washer/dryer). It is next to an iconic diner (great breakfast) and around the corner front Union Station

Pleasant enough place to stay, but there's never any staff on site and the walls are so thin and aircon/fridge so loud, you'll need earplugs to sleep. Close to a 7-eleven and some eateries, plus the Blue Line to O'Hare is just around the corner and downtown is walkable.

Excellent location, very close to union station and public transport with plenty of buses and subway stops early. Apartment is well equipped with everything a visitor needs, including soap and shampoo supplies in bathroom, washing machine pods, dishwasher tablets. Extremely comfortable bed and fully equipped kitchen. Restaurants and groceries a short walk away. I would recommend this to anyone visiting Chicago. Only downside is the lack of sound insulation, you can hear people in apartments above moving around.

Great stay at the Burnham. Flat very equipped for all your needs (coffee, washer, hairdryer, Dishwasher, etc.), very clean at our arrival. The was bed ultra comfortable. The chat service 24/7 is ultra efficiency and useful. I recommend it!

For my first time using Sonder as my stay, I couldn’t have been more happy. Prior to my stay, I would look over the reviews and get nervous at all the negative reviews, but mine and my boyfriend’s stay was nothing but excellent. I used the chat that is available to any guest and was very happy with the quick response and helpfulness of Sonder. Our room was clean and was equipped with all the necessary appliances we needed as we did quite a bit of cooking for ourselves. I would compare a Sonder as a mix between hotel luxury and Airbnb convenience. We also did a lot of walking and traveling and were close to many bus stops and the blue line that took us almost everywhere. If you are worried as I was, don’t be!!

Second time staying at The Burnham. This time with family and lots of compliments from the team! Beddings & sheeting are superb! Trust me. Sonder provided needed items that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. The adjacent independently-run restaurant (by the entrance) is a must to go for breakfast, but not every day, unless you carry lots of $$$. And don't blame Sonder for that. There are plenty of free roadside parking spaces nearby too if you are patient and timely.
