A truly outstanding experience and camp. The environs, ambience, service and food were all sublime. This property is slightly remote - which is a joy, although it perfectly dissects the journey from Jodhpur to Udaipur or vv. The welcome, care and relaxed atmosphere is so calming and this wilderness is the perfect balance to hectic cities. This camp has the best staff I have encountered in 25 years of travelling. Their relaxed smiles, expertise and uncomplicated ease of service is a very well balanced and winning formula. Thankyou.

Sujan exceeded all of our expeditions in all aspects, the ambiance, the entire team, the attention to detail, it was amazing. We got to enjoy every amenity; the spa, the pool, the excellent food and most importantly the safari. Our guide, Annan, was very committed and answered every question we threw at him, his enthusiasm and awe was transmitted to us. Not to forget our wonderful driver during the safari that flawlessly took us through the rough and tricky terrain.

What an experience… we’ve been fortunate enough to have visited and stay in beautiful places and hotels but this is right up there. We saw leopards morning and late afternoon. The guide (Sid) was a fountain of knowledge and a brilliant host. Our rooms were simply amazing and the staff too (special shout out to Fateh who served us meals). The food was top class and all sourced locally or grown onsite! You have to go!

This camp epitomizes luxury in the middle of a stunning, remote wilderness where leopards are the featured attraction. Our exceptional guide, SP, put us within 30 feet of a beautiful female leopard on our first afternoon game drive. His keen eye spotted many leopards during our stay ***** with a variety of wildlife and birds. Large, stylish tents have comfy beds and are beautifully appointed. The dining menu is international in scope, serving everything from pizza to traditional Indian Thali...and a well stocked bar. For those who do not wish to walk a long distance from the to the dining, library and pool, request a tent that is close to the communal areas. This is a marvelous safari experience...not to be missed in India. Don't forget a pair of gloves for the early morning game drives in winter!

An incredible unforgettable experience in an amazing camp. From the moment you are picked up by the jeep and your naturalist for your stay the magic begins. All the rooms are now solid structures with an outside seating area. Your bedroom and bathroom are filled with photos of leopards and local decorations and the beds are extremely comfortable. All meals are included and there is an Indian and an international menu. At night everyone gathers for drinks round camp fires lit by hundred of lanterns and when it is dark à tribesman in wonderful costume lights you back to your room. The safari drives are at 4:30pm and 6:30am with a warm drink served before you start and towards the end ( unless you are chasing a leopard sighting !) we saw several leopards on each drive, the male right beside the jeep. The terrain is amazing, spectacular in itself. Our naturalist SP was incredibly knowledgeable and a joy to talk to as well as being an outstanding driver, Surjan’s ethos I s to re wild and manage the flora to encourage the animals and to support the local villages through education, animal husbandry etc. The staff are all charming and keen to make your stay memorable there was no downside to this experience

There are two sides to Jawai, the leopards and the camp. Both are superb. During the Covid closure the camp was made permanent, the accommodation is fantastic, comfortable with excellent bathrooms. The camp at night is let by paraffin lights, hanging from the trees and on hooks down the walkways. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble. Excellent food, comfortable beds, hot water bottles, first class bed linen and towels create the backdrop to the main event - the wildlife. One word - superb. Wonderfully knowledgeable guides and a system to discover the leopards.
