When in Gillingham, (Kent) why stay in the usual Hotel 'Box' when there are options like the Nikoda Lodge in Gillingham, Kent, England . A pretty little guest house right across from a park, with a nicely renovated bathroom -to a high hotel standard. The owners are great, and are there for anything you need. (If not on site, remotely able to assist you through the webcam.) -This would be a fantastic option for those with longer stays, (work crews etc.) with a huge kitchen, and everything you need to have home cooked meals while on the road. As a matter of fact, 3 different sets of people can cook their meals at the same time! - It has a 7 burner stove with 3 ovens and a warming oven. Also with the usual kettle etc. there was a 4 slice toaster, a blender, an air fryer and cupboards and a shelf for each unit. I was super impressed. -For the smokers like me, there are two ground floor rooms that have outside doors right off the rooms leading out to the covered smoking area for our convenience. -I would Defiantly stay here again!

OK Lodge is just a name; what is is is a (nicely) extended and converted terraced house opposite a park; so now a few studio flats, with some common areas. Modern and clean but a couple of issues - like oven not even wired in; no table to eat off; and also whilst we booked for 3 adults and was confirmed; they called to say max was 2 adults & a child and would not refund the extra £50 for the 3rd adult (who couldn't now come of course) and I had to go through ******* to get resolved. Hope these are just teething problems for them.
