Booked a room in the lawrence paid £162 on *********** had to change the dates unexpectedly which was done with the property direct. When we arrived the room wasn't available. So they put us up in the jazz house 5 doors up. Called it the jules Holland suite... smelt like Jule's maybe passed away in the room due to the smell from the on suite. This room was advertised at £100 per night. The road noise terrible topped off with the most over enthusiastic couple in the room above us. Chandelier shook for hours.... had a half decent breakfast to the tune of the fire alarm ringing for the entirety of it.... massive let down

We could not fault anything about this venue! It deserves at least a five star rating! The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. All the rooms throughout the whole building were beautifully decorated, clean, comfy and warm. The choices for breakfast were amazing, the food was delicious and plentiful. There lounge area was large, comfortable with a huge open fire.

I did not stay here but have a reservation booked. I made the reservation a year in advance and was not charged. In Jan they charged my card even though my reservation is not until sept. I have been emailing everyday for the last week trying to cancel my reservation and they refuse to acknowledge my emails and help me. My cell phone plan charges a lot of money to call from the US so I wanted to handle this through email but apparently they dont want to cancel my reservation.

This is a fantastic place to stay. Emmet and Collin were welcoming and helpful from when I first called it. It has a charming interior and is very comfortable. I really loved the tub in our room and had my best sleep here out the seven places Mom and I stayed at in Ireland. It is walkable to a lot of restaurants and sites. Parking was easy too. I really enjoyed the breakfast in the morning. My only regret is that we didn’t get to stay there longer. I can’t wait to return.

On the edge of Derry, this was one of our favorite places to stay. This is a place where there are people who do long-term rentals in addition to overnights. There is a tea station and it sits upon a quiet street. No parking except for street parking, but there was plenty of it. We were also able to take a tour with Rory. This tour was potent to me as Rory and I are about the same age and he told us about his time in the troubles and gave us history of the exclusionary walled city, the murals, and the contemporary life that exists in resilience to the past. Derry, by far, was our favorite place to be on our visit. Small room, but enough for what we needed.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Lawrence, great accomodation, great location and great hosts but BE AWARE we had to pay an EXTRA £30 cleaning fee before we were given the key to our room even though our confirmation thru Qantas Hotels said we had paid in full! First time I have ever been charged for a cleaning fee!

Excellent boutique hotel, with period furnishings, very well located for walking to the centre of Derry, while being quiet and easy to park. Rooms were clean, and breakfast very good. It was great to have a cosy bar area for that nightcap and chat to other guests. The staff were very helpful with suggestions for nearby bars and restaurants. We knew that our room would be very small, with limited space, but were only staying one night so that wasn't too important.
