I stay at this lodge every time I go through Kitwe on business - probably 4 times a year. On my previous visits I really felt the service was getting worse - food was taking forever to come out of the kitchen, linen was getting "tired", etc, etc. However my last visit was so much better. Great food and service, and an excellent breakfast (and a new coffee machine!) Well done, Sherbourne, please keep to up!

they had 2 jobs: overnight accommodation and breakfast... well... lets just say, the door keeps most of the weather out. unfortunately that is not true for the DEAFING noise from the industrial genset right outside that very door. you might as well try to sleep in a cardboard box between the runways of heathrow or frankfurt airports... and the english breakfast (an oxymorin in itself) is too small - and a second trip to the buffet is charged. all in all, good for the 40$ price range, definately not higher. pointless.
