Irini and her family are so welcoming. The accommodation was peaceful, well located and comfortable for my stay. I would definitely go back next time I’m in beautiful Sifnos!

Relaxed Stay

This was a great place to stay! We arrived Easter weekend so it was busy in town for a few days but after that it was very quiet. The owner was friendly and assisted us with anything we needed. She was very thoughtful in giving us a traditional Easter cake.

The "pension" is a short block off the main street. Close to the beach but away from street noise. However, this is a small community so it's pretty quiet in the off season. The nearby restaurants that were open were excellent. Plenty of hiking trails in the area so we were very busy for the week we stayed.

It was a short walk today nthe beautiful ocean, very nice for swimming. Every restaurant I ate at was great, and I felt very safe at this hotel, and in the town as a woman traveling alone.

Nice spacious and very clean property just meters away from Platis Yialos beach where you can find many tavernas and places to eat along the beach. Irini was so lovely and accommodating and we had such a wonderful stay.

So to give this place a balanced review I will give its pros and cons. Pros - great location, comfy beds, beautifully decorated and the owner did our laundry for free Cons - the owner took our money twice and pretended it was an accident (if you only have 8 rooms as the website states you would surely notice all these extra euros at the end of day when balancing your card payments) I had to ask for one to be refunded and luckily we got our money back during our stay, the owners have mega phone voices shouting and screaming at each other - our first night we thought ww1 was going on outside but we got used to thier loud ways, we never got breakfast which was supposed to be included in the price(we were offered it once as we were leaving but declined and never got offered again even though they asked a time to bring it the next day but it never came so we gave up and went to the lodge narlis each morning which was gorgeous) it felt like they couldn't be bothered, the bathroom needs a refurb as toilet old and noisy and a proper deep clean as black mould in tiles, room 4 is just the worst location in the hotel do not accept this room, The bathroom has these 3 open triangles that lead straight out to reception no glass no nothing so you hear everything and they hear everything so not ideal for a bathroom, room 4 was really dark as it only had the door and 1 window. Air conditioning and fridge too noisy. Although we loved Sifnos and will go back but we will not return back to this hotel, such a shame as we had such great greek hospitality in our previous hotels but we didn't let it spoil our stay at all but just wanted to give a real review of our experience.

Highly Recommended! Came to Sifnos on a work trip and then decided to extend my stay as the island and the accommodation were amazing! The rooms are very clean, located right above the nice beach of Platys Gialos. Irini is an amazing host, an example of Greek hospitality. It’s also a good option for hikers as it’s located near some nice paths and they can offer some hiking equipment if needed. Irini has they own local produce and sometimes offers nice homemeade treats to the guests. Will definitely come back soon!
