White Horse Guest House was everything we were looking for! We stayed in one of the cabins right on the beach. The room had a kitchen that was one of the best equipped kitchens we have ever had while on vacation. The room was spacious and very clean. It wasn't cleaned every day (although I think you can request that) but they always asked if we needed a "refresh" including clean towels. When the room was cleaned the housekeeper did an excellent job. The room had excellent air conditioning and multiple fans. The beach. The beach was fantastic! It was cleaned and raked every day. People travelling to Belize have to be prepared for garbage (mostly plastic) on the beach. But the White Horse and other guest houses in Hopkins do a really good job of keeping the beach in front of their properties clean. The water was warm and the bottom was sandy - perfect for swimming. The White Horse provides loungers in good condition and a kayak and some floaties for guests' use. We did not use the kayak so I'm not sure what condition it was in - but it looked good. I did take advantage of a floating tube! Location in the village. Hopkins is divided into North and South. The White Horse is in Hopkins South, which seems to be the busier part of Hopkins (although that's still not very busy - at least not in November). It is right next door to Ella's Cool Spot which is a fun restaurant/bar with loud music. Even though we were right next door to the loud music, we found the air conditioning drowned out most of the noise and it was usually over my midnight (although not on Garifuna Settlement Day!) We enjoyed being close to Ella's and also having the grocery store and Chinese food restaurant next door on the other side. For us, it was a perfect location. If you are looking for a relaxing vacation right on the beach, with some good options for food and drinks - this is the place for you!

My husband and I stayed at the White Horse Inn for two weeks. We loved every minute that we stayed there. Everything that you will need is within walking distance. We stayed in Bungalow #2. Every morning we would sit out on the front porch watching the sun come up, the beach is right at your doorstep. We loved the peace and quiet, some days we were the only ones sitting out on the loungers. If you need anything while your staying from arranging dinner reservations, taxi's, excursions to fixing your shower head, Angel the manager is there for you. It is a very laid back place so take half of what you have packed in your luggage out. You won't need it. Can't wait to go back

We enjoyed our stay in Hopkins and were glad that we chose to stay in the heart of the village. The bungalow was on the beach, within walking distance of everything in the village, but what made the stay special was manager Angel. Angel’s attention to customer service and knowledge of the area and general kindness was remarkable. Drumming and music are central to the Garifuna and Hopkins culture. For those reviewers who were bothered by these sounds and the local culture, perhaps consider vacationing in the all inclusive expat resorts.

White Horse Inn is located in a great spot of Hopkins except for one thing, Ella's Restaurant like to play loud music and karaoke for 7 to midnight several nights a week. It is very loud. Hopkins needs a noise ordinance. That is the only things that kept this from being the perfect spot. It is located right on the beach with chairs and beach items to use. It is kept really clean, bottled water is provided and Angel was a great help with questions.

Love this place! The White Horse Inn is centrally located in Hopkins. It right next to restaurants, grocery stores and much more. The atmosphere is inspiring. It's right on the Caribbean Coast. You walk out to ocean and palm trees. The room was very clean, comfortable and the staff was extraordinarily accommodating and pleasant. There's frequent Garifuna drumming from the surrounding areas but it adds to the experience and it's never a disruption. I had a full kitchen and fridge and a fully stocked bathroom. It doesn't get any better than this in Hopkins!

We stayed here for 5 days mid December and it was awesome. Levi was so helpful and all the staff were very kind and respectful and would get anything needed. We stayed in #1 the small room and it was all we needed for a couple. It was clean, nice hot water shower, good fridge, great A/c. We loved using their bikes to ride around town. The location is awesome - right on the beach, 1/2 block from grocery store, quiet and low key, close to restaurants. We had looked at a few other places online and were SO glad we chose Whitehorse. We have traveled all over the world and love finding small, local places, and this was one of the best little beachfronts we’ve exerperienced. Will definitely be back!

The manager, Angel, was so welcoming and accommodating. The place is really sweet and so peaceful. It has lots of nice amenities like a sea kayak and fun toys for the ocean as well as some hammocks. Just a really thoughtful staff. In addition,Anna is a local masseuse and gives very affordable and relaxing massages right next to the ocean. It’s a wonderful experience and I’ll never forget my time here. You need to stay here!

Our stay at the Inn@White Horse exceeded our expectations. The grounds were meticulously maintained. Loved the use of the beach chairs, water floats and double kayak. Our room was clean and comfortable. AC worked very well and we made use of the kitchenette to prepare some meals in. Angel, the property manager, was available to assist us whenever we had questions. His recommendations for restaurants were much appreciated. He guided us with understanding the bus schedule. We were taking the bus from Hopkins to San Ignacio. We ended up traveling on a holiday so the busses did not run as advertised. We ended up stuck at the Hopkins Junction and could not reach an available taxi. Angel went above and beyond by picking us up and driving us to another bus stop so we could catch a bus and be on our way. Without his assistance, I am afraid we would have ended up delayed in Hopkins for an additional day and forfeiting a non-refundable hotel night. This is by far the best service we have ever received from a property manager. I really hope the new owners (property is being sold end of March 2025) keep Angel on their staff. He is an absolute assets to the business.

Great 5 day stay at White Horse. We stayed in cabin 1 which has absolutely everything you need. The team at White Horse are always working to keep the grounds and cabin clean Location is excellent. An easy walk to Hopkins village stores and restaurants. If you like to walk you can also explore both North and South Hopkins. Rent a golf cart and explore Hopkins. Looking forward to our return.
