We had a wonderful experience - although we only stayed one night, the hotel was clean and the room (the Andrew - #5) was very cute and well appointed. We needed extra bedding for my daughter and they happily provided it. Walkable to a few restaurants and a great landing place for touring Luray Caverns. 5 stars for comfort ease and cleanliness!

The hotel is truly a beautiful place to stay, it combines historic character with modern luxury and convenience. Our suite had a quality equipped kitchen and comfortable lounge area, including a truly smart TV. The bed was very comfortable and had quality linen and the en-suite bathroom was well presented and had a great shower. The cleanliness of the suite was top notch and the Wi-Fi worked well. We found the location perfect for SNP skyline, only 15mins from the Thornton Gap entrance. Parking at the hotel worked well.

My wife and I are newly empty nesters and decided to do a little traveling, stopping at Hotel Laurance on our way to my work conference. The town of Luray has all the charm you’d hope for in a small town, but our stay at this hotel stood out as truly exceptional. One unexpected challenge was a bad storm that knocked out the power. We waited it out in our room at first, but as evening fell, we headed out to the back porch, where string lights, rocking chairs, and flowers made for a beautiful setting despite the outage. My wife called the manager, and she responded immediately—showing up, sitting with us, and even offering us a couple of (adult) beverages until the lights returned. That kind of thoughtful, genuine care is rare. To top it off, the hotel extended a discount for the inconvenience, even though it was completely out of their control. Exceptional management all around. Yes, Hotel Laurance may be a little on the pricey side—but once you step inside and see the detail, history, and comfort it offers, you’ll understand why it’s worth it. We’ll absolutely be back, and we’ll be telling our family and friends about this little gem in Luray, VA. Special thanks to Jenn, the manager, for turning what could have been a stressful situation into one of the most memorable parts of our trip

This spot is amazing! The decor, cleanliness, access to Main Street and customer service were exceptional. If you like authentic, vintage, spots they did it right- large library, sitting room, deck, period hardwoods. Stayed there for the Luary Triathalon and will visit again whenever I’m in Luray. Well done-
