What a magical place! From the moment we arrived, we were impressed by the stunning beaches, crystal clear waters and the warm, welcoming atmosphere. The staff were absolutely amazing — incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and always ready to assist with genuine smiles on their faces. Their hospitality truly made our stay special. Check-in and check-out were seamless, making the whole experience smooth and stress-free. Our accommodation was spotless and had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay. The area around our villa was so clean and had the most beautiful view. An amazing place to totally relax away from everything. Fishing is fantastic, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, a place to get in touch with nature! You get what you paid for and more. We highly recommended for anyone looking to unwind in a beautiful setting with top-notch service. We'll definitely be back!

We had the most amazing time at Thevenard Island. We stayed for a week and were grateful to be able to do a fishing charter whilst we were there with Innkeeper Sports Fishing Charters which was a totalling amazing experience for our family. We were lucky to catch a decent amount of fish with the very experienced charter Captain, Brendon Hawker. Brendon was very helpful and taught us a lot about the ocean and took the time to teach us new skills that we are very grateful for. The island is a beautifully preserved nature reserve that has units to stay in. Units are very well maintained and appointed with excellent facilities considering how isolated we were. All of the staff were friendly, attentive, accommodating and just nice people to talk to. We hired a Plucka boat for fishing and snorkelling which was great fun. We saw an abundance of wildlife on the island and in the pristine waters around it. There were an abundance of whales frolicking off shore and it happened to be turtle mating season whilst we were there. Would highly recommend the Mackerel Islands for a once in a lifetime experience. We will remember this holiday forever. A truly beautiful and relaxing part of the world. Thank you very much for this experience. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

The Mackerel Island is definitely an ocean lover's delight. One is surrounded on this 12 kilometre island by the rhythm of the ocean. Once off the ferry, you are greeted by a line-up of friendly crew who take you for a short walk to your accommodation ( whilst your luggage is transported to your accommodation behind the scenes). The accommodation is spacious, clean and with ' you are the only one on the island ' feel. Plenty of entertainment and activities provided by the crew or you can do what I did, wander off on a 12 kms walk around the island ! You are never alone as you will always have the sun, sand, shells, birds, fish, turtles, lobsters, reef sharks and the stars at night for company.

We had a great short stay at this gem of a place! What an amazing place to stay. Lots of awesome things to do and see, and it's like you have a private beach to yourself. I really hope the ferry runs next year... As we would like to go again, for even longer

We arrived with some questionable weather and from the very first contact with the island staff, we were looked after so well. The girls took all our bags to our room, and we were off fishing. The best holiday for the fisherman or for just chilling out. I would absolutely recommend this destination. This was my 3rd trip in 15 years. I love it.

Absolutely stunning place great location. Cabins were clean and well equipped and bed was really comfortable. Price was a little expensive but if if another came with us it would have been more affordable. Staff were amazing and even though they had limited staff due to getting ready to close down for the cyclone season, staff were still available to take us to the turtles and to watch the sunset. The only noise was the windy and the birds. No issues. All amenities were accessible and all our needs were met. As a resident of Karratha we are sad that the ferry is stopping as we dont own a boat as we would definately visit a few times a year in the future.

Absolutely awesome place, with very accommodating staff, they helped out our family member with health issues to & from the jetty every day. We booked as a fishing trip and had success with many Reds, Trout and Rankin, my son also caught a great GT from the jetty. The only downside was we should have booked for longer.....next year.

Myself and a group of mates recently experienced the Signature Charter Package at the Mackerel Islands and it was fantastic! We've been to other fishing camps and experience's and can honestly say its one of our best. Flying out with Ningaloo Aviation, the accommodation and hospitality of Andy, Maddy (and the team), and the fishing with Innkeeper (Brendon) - first class and well worth the money. The team at the Mackerel's stocked the fridge, cooled the drinks and were great hosts and couldn't do enough! And Brendon from Innkeeper - well he knows his stuff and even made us very average fishers look like we knew what we were doing! We'll be back again!
