Stayed in some beautiful places but the tranquility and total quietness is something special. Julia met us showed us around the property. The quality of furnishings are 5star. The curtains linen, bedding doors and security are the best I have seen for many years.est Remember you are in the middle of a national park you are miles from anywhere. If you need peace quiet and tranquility this is the best. Julia can’t do enough for you

We had a wonderful week here in February, staying in El Playazo, with its own private roof terrace. This is a very special place, so tranquil and so beautiful. Every detail in our room was thought out, from good bedside lighting, to plentiful coat hangers, with a huge shower with lots of hot water and super-comfortable bed. Julia was helpfulness itself - nothing was too much trouble and she helped us with good eating out recommendations on the Monday and Tuesday night when there was no dinner available at the hotel. We had excellent picnics provided for us and enjoyed walking to the empty and beautiful beach down the volcanic trails. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough - it is absolutely exceptional. And with Samambar in the nearby village, you have very fine eating too.

A rural, sympathetically designed stunning retreat set above the beautiful El Playazo beach. Pristine, very spacious rooms ; Landscaped with care and a real feast for the senses. The roof terrace was a special place with views over the volcanic hills and the sea. Hotel food was delicious with local wines and buffet breakfast was generous and fresh. Service from Julia especially and her small team was attentive, personal and friendly. Tiny plunge pool so we swam in the sea most days, Very wild and un-touristy area to explore; impossible without a vehicle.

Amazing escape from it all
Great surprise in this barren wonderland called Cabo de Gata. Amazing location, don't miss sunset views on to the bay. Great food and great team... make sure you get detailed directions, the last mile is hard to find, when you think the road has ended just keep going!
