There is currently a shortage of accommodation in Cape Town next week due to an event taking place. Called this establishment around 8:30am to make a booking for an official government business trip 2 nights the following week. Spoke to Owner, asked them to hold the reservation, provided my details and advised that the Agency from the Department will contact them shortly to confirm the booking. Called again to see if agency had done the booking. Owner confirmed that the booking had been given to someone else, they had assumed it was a booking for me when another agency called them. They did not verify the information which I had given them. I had asked how this mishap had occurred when I had given my information and that they should take better care so that we can use them for future official stays. Owner was very rude and further went on to express that they are in the tourism sector and cater to international tourists and other. They are not concerned re local bookings and will not be impacted if I, or other government officials or other locals choose not to use their establishment because we are not their target market and I should simply "find somewhere else to stay". Extremely shocking attitude for someone in the hospitality industry. Do not recommend. Support another local business.

From start to finish was terrible, upon arrival no one expected us had to wait over an hour outside the gate, upon arrival had to stay as was late in up made up room, filthy… door fell off bathroom, no soap towels water or electricity or candles.. Next day was eventually put into our booked room, was never afforded the luxury of a room key, infact even the exterior sliding door to the outside world never locked, even after complaint still never got a key. Bathroom disgusting, mouldy , filthy dirty, no soap, two grey towels for five night stay for two. Ended up buying own soap and towels and hot water bottle as so cold,water filthy so could not drink to make tea, bedroom window broken and booster tank outside windows constantly running so sleep an issue coupled with the constant noise from upstairs.. Curtains filthy and mouldy, sofa to dirty to sit on, bedroom handle broken so wife could not not exit, in five days no cleaning was undertaken, very cold damp hovel could not wait to leave… On a positive the view was the only redeeming feature, my suggestion is knock down and utilise the space for a more deserving building…

I stayed in the “Dolphin Beach” room & every morning i woke to a majestic view across the bay of Table and Lion’s Head Mountains!!! Hans & Winnie are excellent hosts with a great staff! Very nice breakfast selections! Pool is fantastic! Beach right across the street/ short trip around the bay to Downtown & Long St! Wine farms/ mountain climbing/ World class restaurants and the Sunset bar PAKALOLO just a 15 stroll down the beach! Pleasantly surprising prices for all you get. I have stayed in Many hotels and its a Wonder i would stay anywhere else (x7). Thank You Minnie & Hans, for the week 1/2- i will be back! -Col. Neil Patterson

Friendly new owner and comfortable room in basement, near kitchen. Would have liked a better view of Table Mountain except not good weather while we were there. Sadly for me the door has a fanlight glass over it and anyone leaving a light on in adjacent room made my first night impossible to sleep. It was the same as having a bedside light on all night. Owners should have anticipated this.

This place is just beautiful and very clean. I slept in the Dolphin beach room. The view of the ocean and table Mountain is just out of this world. The beach is just across the road. It very close to amenities like restaurants and supermarkets. And .Minnie is a great host. I'd come back again any day. I definitely recommend this place

The Guest House is Amazing and has spectacular views of Table Mountain and the Sea just across the street. We felt at home as the Hosts are really great and the staff were friendly. Great breakfast choices as well. The place is conveniently located close to most amenities. I recommend this place

The views are refreshing with the full view of the the table mountain across the sea. A few meters walk from the beach and they have an outdoor shower for when you return with sand. Diverse restaurants around and close too.

The new owners have really gone out of their way to make our trip memorable. From comfortable rooms, they were full of great get away advises from best food outlets to visit, sites, they arranged our airport transfers. The staff were polite and made sure our stay was memorable. Can't wait to go back
