This property is on top of a hill and scattered across various part. They provide a car to move around internally. I booked a pool villa for 2 nights (Zinia). The room was spacious with a beautiful view of the creek and hills. A clean pool with an old school water filter. The rooms comes with a water filter (RO) apart from other basics (kettle, tooth brush, mini fridge etc) in our case the kettle was dirty and had stains inside. The room is not very well maintained felt a tiny bit overpriced however the views and the peace is perfect. One needs to be careful as the area has langurs (Semnopithecus). They are a bit notorious, at night we could hear them walking on the roof of the room (it’s like a canopy and not a concrete ceiling). The best part of the property : Outstanding North Indian food - 10/10, the butter chicken was so good that we got it packed for our trip back home. Continental was average, the dessert were good too. Sunset point- one of the most beautiful sunset spots with tea and pakods it’s just bliss. Staff - Extremely polite and hardworking. They will go out of there way to make your stay comfortable. Petting zoo - There are 4 very loving dogs and various other birds etc. It’s a basic place but it shows they care about the animals. I felt they are doing a good job with it. Pls don’t expect a full fledged zoo. Overall we loved the stay and we would definitely visit again. Might also consider to invest. It could be a good holiday home. It’s not a property/resort where you can easily walk from the restaurant to the room etc. You need a car(own or they will provide a pick/drop service). It depends on the room you book, some are next to the restaurant or next to the shooting etc area or some in the middle of nowhere. It’s a very raw place and seems it was supposed to be a residential area converted into a sort of resort. We did not try the spa or other games. I did not click photo of of the room, I had videos however can’t upload them here.

The location is great. Climate was excellent. Rooms were good, clean but just one suggestion regarding rooms. You need to trim the trees and branches in front of the rooms. We come for beauty and nice views but they are blocked. The food was very tasty

Property is charming and beautiful when it’s about the location and the accessibility but it’s overpriced for the amenities and the way it’s maintained. We stayed for 2 nights in November and felt the stay was mostly boring. All activities are paid and most of them were non operational during our stay leaving us to just wander around aimlessly. The room was very tiny and super underwhelming. The bathroom had moulds, the bin was rusted, the mirror unit was worn out and just wont open. Biggest issue we had was cleanliness.. property is untidy!!! While on first glance one would be mesmerised by trees and chirping birds but soon all you can see is litter everywhere which is unattended. We left our cups out for someone to take it, they were misplaced next morning by someone and only later we figured out it was done by monkeys. In the evening when we returned they were further moved away and we called the housekeeping to get it cleared and to our surprise he only took away the cups and not the wrappers & foil that were alongside. The litter remained there till the time we left. There was no room cleaning, no change of water, no towel changed.. all this is done when you ask them and they don’t even have a phone service.. they provided mobile numbers of concerned people who rarely pick up the call, specially the housekeeping one. The property has 4 levels and for food you need to travel all the wY to second level.. what’s annoying is we have to depend on some driver to help us navigate. The staff says its safe inside the property but they also say dont wander around in the evening making it absolutely boring & unsafe after sunset. Additionally they provided a rate card for everything but the high tea. We were invited by the staff so we assumed it will be complimentary but to our surprise for 2 cups tea we were charged 909 rupees

Huge hill property with scatterred cottages. Each cottage is unique. Walkers paradize. Food was amazing. We eat multiple times and each item was amazing. Dont miss sabudana vada, pineapple sheera and laccha paratha Amazing people. Petting zoo caretakers, sunil and jagtap need special mention Some maintenance issues. Mutiple small issues in our cottage woodpecker. Bathtup plug doesnt open. Leakage in bathroom roof. Tiles broken in gallerry etc. Of course, views made up for it all

Amazing experience with lot of things to explore in the vicinity. Loved the way it is developed. We stayed in glass house and it was worth it. Nishtha there who was from the Tala team also made the experience more good. She was very interactive and full of positive energy to have around. We visited the petting zoo. The staff there was very informative plus took good care of the animals and birds inside. The food was also amazing. Overall a 10/10 experience!!

Very horrible experience. We had a confirmed booking in marigold but once we reached the resort. The lady in the reception kept on telling us lies of the room being set up/ guest for delayed check out etc. after having our lunch she comes and tells us the room is not available since it is now being occupied by a blogger and he is not leaving. Something so bizarre I have never heard ever in my life. Then she has the audacity to tell us we are sorry and want to upgrade you to a room which apparently was lower catagory and was trying to tell is because of this issue they will give us free lunch and dinner. Basically they were adjusting the total cost of our booked room against a lower category of room and food. Such sly behaviour and non transparency left us with a very bad experience and we decided to drive back. Advice: booking is not guaranteed even if you pre book.

We went here for my parents anniversary for 4th May and 5th May. This is a massive property in the Sahayadri ranges. The beauty of this resort is that it is close to Arabian sea inspite of being on the hills. We stayed in Premium tents and the room size and amenities were good. No plastic bottles given here. They have RO filters in every room. Amazing views from the rooms. Reason for 4 star is that the activities were a bit expensive. Food is decent enough and the staff are kind. Swimming pool oversees the backwaters from Arabian Sea. My daughter loved the Petting Zoo which is a decent addition.

I am writing this review following our recent stay at Forest Hills in Tala for a one-day staycation on June 22nd and 23rd, 2024. We booked two luxury cottages for my family, but unfortunately, our experience was deeply disappointing. The resort's maintenance left much to be desired; the so-called "luxury cottages" we stayed in were below average, resembling neglected tents rather than comfortable accommodations. The surrounding areas were overgrown with grass, including the paths leading to the cottages. Inside, the rooms were musty and unpleasant, despite our requests for room fresheners going unaddressed. One of the most distressing incidents occurred in the morning when my 14-year-old daughter was locked in the bathroom for over two hours. We had to urgently call a carpenter to free her, which was distressing for her and our entire family. When I brought these issues to the attention of the reception and senior staff, their response was disappointing and indifferent. There was no apology or attempt to address our concerns, giving the impression that such incidents were not uncommon. Considering the high charges, which suggest a five-star property, the reality was closer to a lodge experience with substandard rooms and service. I feel it is important to caution others who may be considering staying here. Please be cautious

My wife and I enjoyed a two-night stay at Forest Hills' Hermitage Zennia Villa. The check-in process was smooth, and the staff provided a helpful overview of the resort's amenities. Our room was exceptional - a large, beautifully designed space with a balcony overlooking scenic mountains and a lake. The makeshift kitchen was a convenient perk, complete with a water filter and fridge. There was a minor letdown with the pool. While the view was lovely, it wasn't very clean. Despite staff cleaning it, the lingering dirt and insects deterred us from using it extensively. The food and service were bright spots. The staff was attentive, checking in with us regularly, and the food itself was excellent, albeit with somewhat limited breakfast options for vegetarians. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would definitely recommend Forest Hills to anyone seeking a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting. Just be aware of the potential pool issue if that's a priority for you.

The entire concept of the resprt is awesome.located on entire mountain and spread across the mountain. Quiet calm serene place, amazing views, a perfect location for relaxation in nature laps, However the resort can improve on: 1. Directions and signages. There are no signages on roha tala road and very limited signages from indapur murud road. 2. Food choices could be more better 3. There can be some more engagement for guests after 7.00 PM
