I stayed in room 35 on Tuesday, August 7, 2018. I was not pleased with this location, with the room, or with the absolutely worthless wi-fi they had to offer. Unfortunately this was a non-refundable reservation, and was the closest hotel to where I was working the following day. Beyond the many issues I had with this run down motel, the bedding and mattress were entirely too old. The mattress was a stiff, old, uncomfortable coil number that was likely more than a decade old. In any situation like this I ***** all the sheets and comforters off the mattress, pull it away from the wall, and use a flashlight to examine for traces of insects and a general lack of cleanliness. Despite my reservation about staying here, I had driven six hours that afternoon and had to be up at 5:00am for a job the next day near Keysville. One of the worst things about bedbug bites is they don't always magically appear immediately after you've been infested. They generally take 2-4 hours to start to swell, and can continue to get worse and worse over the following 24-48 hours. I know this from past experience staying in "budget" accommodations in California about four months ago. I've had to learn an awful lot about bedbugs from staying in shabby motels like this one. I've attached a photo of my back so you can see the bites - there are more than FIFTY (50) bites on my arms, legs, hands, feet, and back. DO NOT STAY HERE - read all the reviews!

When arrived note on door to call a number. Hotel looked deserted. Window by front door to room was opened when arriving and would not lock in place. Bathroom window was busted out with plastic coverings it. Bugs in bed, bedspreads covered in stains. Shower faucet ran the time we were there. TV reception was terrible and no remote.

The bathroom window was wide open and would not close. Seems to be more like mini apartments now rather than a motel. There was not toilet paper, no soap and my very worst fear ROACHES 😞 I grew up coming here as a kid and I am terribly disappointed.

There was no one to check me in housekeeper made a key for me then I was to wait while she cleaned it the restaurant there was closed not to open for months. When I got into room the tv didn’t work no remote. When I went out to find someone to question the new housekeeper said no remote and no tv. There was also no wifi. In morning to check out still no one Available. Never got receipt. When they sent one to me it stated zero had been prepaid. With no amount so have to go to bank account to check it was done correctly.

Do not recommend not worth what they charge

At first no was there to check us in. All the doors were locked. Couldn't get in. Our room was not at all the best. Curtains you could not close all the way so we had to figure a way to close them. Telephone was in the bottom drawer of the chester drawers. No coffee pot. One lamp did not work. The screw that holds the lamp shades both were gone. The plug in the wall the cover was cracked. Stains on the floor and the chair. Check out was the same as check in. No one to check us out. Could not get a bill for our stay. We had to take our room key put it where the others were at. Between the two doors. This hotel is in very deed in very bad shape. Even some other the other rooms from going to our room the curtains were down from the windows. We will not stay there again.

We worked a biker event and decided to stay hear because of the good food we have had in the past. Only to get there and the restaurant has been closed sence march and its june now. Also with having problems with the plumbing, no refrigerator, no tv, this room was way over priced. It shouldn't have not been more than 65 dallors max
