Hidden gem of Piet Retief. A quiet place in a very busy town, well appointed rooms, amazing staff...almost don't want to tell anyone about it so I can keep it a secret! Breakfast is basic, but all you need to kick off the day. Homely feeling in a delightful setting

We stayed for 1 night at Welverdiend, at room Grain. The room was clean, with good beds, bedding and linen, but much darker than the photos suggest. We were not informed that during weekends they offer only self check-in and you get a breakfast voucher for one of the restaurants in town. On an early Sunday morning you’ll end up at a fast food outlet… Fair enough the Manager Leandra replied quickly to our complaint, excused and sorted this out.
