We enjoyed our 3 night stay, we stayed in a superior double which was very comfortable & well furnished with plenty of drawer space, a supremely comfortable large bed (super kingsize?) a well stocked hospitality tray & quality hand wash, lotion & shower gel & soft towels in the en suite shower. Despite being December we only needed to use the electric heater provided one night. The room is on a main Road but we weren’t bothered by traffic noise although we had to keep the thick curtains closed whilst getting changed as there is queuing traffic at peak times right outside & no blinds. Only small issue was the lighting in the room was quite dim & and there was nowhere to hang longer coats or dresses, we ended up hanging them on the open cupboard doors, also bring some extra hangers if you can for longer stays. You get a front door key you must lock this behind you & a key for the room which you need to lock too. Plenty of sockets & mirrors including a full length with a nearby plug for hairdryer etc. All in all we had a very comfortable stay.

We recieved an email from the hotel just after the free cancelation window ended, notifying us of additional charges for extra beds that we weren't expecting and that were not on our initial confirmation email after booking. Would recommend that the hotel sends out any emails with additional charge notifications within the cancelation window to give customers the opportunity to understand the full cost of their stay before they are locked in. We ended up booking another hotel for the night and losing the cost of this booking because requests made to the hotel for a refund were denied.

It's called 'The Dragon '. Drove past twice looking for the Cottage. Got a loft room that was very hot overlooking the delivery yard and noisy extract from the kitchen. Could smell each steak being cooked in the pub. Extract woke me up at 7am from being off at night . Room was nicely decorated but the shower was broke. Water too hot. On a positive the Gastro pub food and service was very good and location by the canal a delight.

Super stay - high quality furnished room, and quiet late on, despite the vibrant atmosphere at the adjoining pub. Only thing I could perhaps find fault with would be the high tog rating for the duvet (which made for a rather warm night !)

Me and my husband came here for our Xmas getaway without our little boy. A few days before coming we were informed they were having their Xmas party so would be shutting early. I mentioned when we got there that it was a shame as we were looking forward to having a meal and drink at the pub. The lady that booked us in (unfortunately i don't remember her name) was so lovely and apologetic and arranged a drink as an apology. The room we had was amazing for the price-have recommended it to many of our friends. We are looking forward to coming back with our little boy and grandparents for our wedding anniversary.

The property was really well decorated and clean as it has just recently been upgraded and was beautifully decorated inside.
Unfortunately there has been no sound proofing in the property, so the noise from The upstairs apartment and people leaving the pub was very off putting.
We have stayed at The Dragon on numerous occasions, but this will be our last time booking in here.

Check in was very smooth, friendly and professional and the room was everything you can hope for: clean, comfortable and warm. My only comment would be that breakfast should be included for the price

Fabulous staff. Excellent food. Very comfortable bed. Shower head had a leak but was replaced very promptly. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Only slight criticism would be that it was a bit messy near the bedrooms.

Booked this at the last minute and it was a great choice. Struggled to find it on a dark and rainy night because it’s part of the Dragon pub and I couldn’t find a sign for the cottage! Parking was quite busy but still found a space.
