This charming Federation style accommodation was immaculately decorated, clean, uncluttered, and very comfortable. It was very cold outside when we arrived in the evening, but inside the building and my bedroom it was temperature controlled, meaning that I had control of the whisper quiet ducted heating. With quality linen on the bed and thick fluffy towels, I made the best time of my stay, enjoying the ensuite that included an old fashion claw bath. I will definitely be back for some more spoiling. Oh, did I mention the host Gavin, he couldn’t have been more helpful and delightful, a grand tourism guy! Thanks Gavin, I am telling everyone about my girlfriend getaway at your hotel.

This property is a great place to stay to visit Platypus House, Beaconsfield Mine Museum and Sea Horse world.
Stayed in the Executive Suite and it was stepping back into the era when built. The room was huge and included a lounge area, dining area and very modern and clean bathroom.
The owners have revamped the decor to the era and ensure that you enjoy your stay. The host very, very welcoming, provided a lot of information regarding the places to visit in the area and explain restaurant options in the local area.
The area is quiet, very comfy bed and very clean. Includes a verandah at the back of the hotel to soak up the sun.
A continental breakfast was provided in the room and very private.
Great place to relax and chill out.

A fabulous period hotel. Beautifully furnished and appointed. Great bar with very interesting memorabilia. Breakfast is self serve and a great way to start the day. Close to the Beaconsfield Mine Museum. 30 minutes from Launceston and a good location to explore the Tamar region. Gavin an excellent host.

This place is a delightful gem. Very well located in the Main Street. Our accommodation was exquisite. Comfortable, clean, the furnishings fun, thoughtful and very unusable. The proprietors akka hosts and bar staff very welcoming, full of helpful information. They don’t serve meals but the bar snacks outstanding! So much so we’ve didn’t need a meal. We liked it so much we stayed an xtra night. We will definitely return to Beaconsfield The Exchange Hotel made our stay special.

We would strongly recommend the Exchange to stay whilst at Beaconsfield. Very clean , tidy and a warm welcome from the staff. Attention to detail was exemplary. Loved the lounge room for a relaxing breakfast before we left to continue on our journey.

The attention to detail at the Exchange is second to none, with outstanding comfort, charm and cleanliness. From luxurious bed linen to the atmospheric bar with its wood fire, there is a feeling of warmth and welcome. The bar provides a wide range of beverages with a focus on Tasmanian spirits and wines. However, the most unforgettable experience is that of the hosts in this family business, for whom nothing is too much trouble. They offer an experience catered to your desire for privacy and/or inclusion. Their thoughtfulness leaning toward your comfort will be remembered. Each room also has its own smart tv which includes access to all the major streaming platforms. This is a destination experience, especially with close proximity to many interesting attractions and is great value for money. I would look forward to staying here again and would recommend to my friends and family.

Welcoming thoughtful and friendly hosts, Gavin and Tom, gave us a lovely overnight at the hotel. Our queen room was amazing - so roomy, comfortable, beautifully styled and WARM. Best shower ever and thickest towels ever! We sat round a pumping fire at the bar/dining room before our meal, enjoyed some good wine and stories from our hosts. Couldn't recommend this hotel more highly as a base to explore the western mouth of the Tamar - Beauty Point, Greens Beach, fabulous Narawantapu National Park and of course the amazing very classy Beaconsfield museum.
