What a wonderful respite to settle into a peaceful life. A charming country home with beautiful guest rooms, excellent food, and a park like setting of 5 natural acres filled with deer, turkeys and plentiful wildlife. A relaxing stay for anyone who needs to visit tranquility. We will return again and again, the best Bed and Breakfast ever.

I wish I could have stayed longer at this very calming and relaxing Bed and Breakfast. It could not have been more perfectly located for my plans for the weekend. It’s far enough away that it’s very quiet and off the beaten path, but close enough to things that you aren’t spending your whole vacation driving. I stayed in the Rose Room. It is beautiful and oh so comfy. And has an amazing view. Linda and Karl are very hospitable and very caring. Their cute kitty is also a great host. Overall a great weekend stay and should I ever find myself in Muscatine again I’ll definitely stay here.

Charming farmhouse, hosts were incredibly welcoming and nice. Breakfast was a 10 out of 10. Hosts Carl and Mary joined us for breakfast and shared local history, the best part of Bed and Breakfast traveling.

The house is in a nice location, the breakfast was wonderful, Mary is a charming host, but the place needs a good cleaning! We shared a bathroom (but we were the only ones in the house),and when we checked in there was a sink/counter full of tiny hairs, like someone had emptied their electric razor in the sink. There is a lovely gazebo in the backyard, but when we made our way out there, there was grass clippings all over the patio, the furniture was dusty/dirty and covered in bird poop. Not inviting at all. Also, there are no locks on the bedroom or the bathroom doors.

酒店回复: All bedrooms have locks, and as well the baths also have locks on the doors. Each room has their own bath, and this may have been confused by guests. Grass clippings is because the grass had just been cut and the blowing off the brick walks hadn't had an opportunity to get completed. To this we apologize and hope that it will not reoccur. Strawberry Farm encourages birds to stay in the area, from Pheasant Hens to humming birds to swallows, we encourage the birds as much as possible to live at Strawberry Farm B&B. Many of our guests have stated we seem to have very few mosquitos, this is one reason why we have birds that consider them a gourmet lunch. Again I apologize for what appears to be dust, and we will attack this with abandonment to assure it never happens again.

We have stayed at numerous B&B's over the years both abroad and in the United States. While the hosts are pleasant, the entire property needs a good cleaning - inside and outside. The inside is cluttered beyond any reason, the chairs outside are too dirty to sit on, the gazebo roof has holes as well as hornet nests, the front steps are broken. When first pulling in, it looks great. That illusion is quickly shattered. I apologize to the owners for the poor review, but it is honest.
