I am convinced that 99% of the guests (myself included) were at this hotel because of Kenya Airways' mismangement. I stayed here for 2 nights. The hotel itself is a little outdated; however, the staff was excellent and very welcoming. In several instances, they went above and beyond to accommodate me (especially Moses at reception and Lanakae in the restaurant). It appears as though all the meals are buffet style- which were both meat and vegetarian friendly. If you're looking for a hotel with a gym and a pool, you won't find it here; however, you will find great service and friendly staff who make the extra effort to make sure guests are happy. I do feel for them as most of their clientele have missed their flights and come to the hotel already tired, frustrated and angry.

We had a one night adhoc stay at Summerdale Inn due to Kenya Airways flight cancellation. The only good thing at the hotel was one friendly Waiter who was in love with our two boys. Otherwise all other services were terrible starting with the Check In, Room Status and Dinner all these left alot to be desired. Shower in the room took almost 30mins after opening to have hot water and the bathroom is dirty. The bedsheets had traces of dirty stains, whatever it was but it was not a pleasant sight. The worst situation was that on this Sunday there was no Laundry service and we could not clean up our clothes for nex day travel. Only recommending a shorty stay and only when you are stranded in NBO otherwise the place needs big time attention.

Wow this hotel is in the middle of some Africa chaos.. yet beautiful inside. Food is local produce. Well prepared. Reception didnot phone me for wakeup call. Ended here VERY UNPLANNED as flight delayed by 12hours!!! Very safe country.

This was a layover stay for one night. Pros: - Very affordable if you're looking for a place to stay for a few nights. - The staff is very welcoming and will help out when necessary. - The room is of good standards given the price range. Absolutely loved the huge bed. Cons: - I'd have to say the food was not good at all (speaking on the buffet options given). I was able to try the breakfast and lunch options; which were not a lot. The fruits were not as fresh and the food just looked bland. Overall, I would probably just come back for the bed haha.
