A fabulous location and delightful owners who really went the extra mile to meet our needs. We initially were given a room upstairs with a bathroom on another floor, which due to my husband’s illness just did not work and so within half an hour we were relocated into another room with a bathroom literally across the corridor. The only downside as far as we could see that there were no en suite bathrooms! The bed was wonderful and comfortable and we were delighted when we were given the go ahead to have our picnic supper on the terrace. Breakfast was superb, waking up to the smell of freshly baked bread was a bonus! Would definitely stop off again if we are in the area! Thank you very much!

We have just arrived home after a wonderful weekend at Mulberry Barn which is situated in a beautiful and very peaceful location. We were a large family party who were staying in the area to attend a family wedding and we were perfectly accommodated in the bed and breakfast and the self-catering annexe. The rooms were very clean and comfortable and Laura really looked after us well, making sure that we had everything that we needed. She provided us with information about local taxi firms and eating places and even offered to take a group photo of us before we left for the wedding. She was very kind and nothing seemed too much trouble for her ........ and the breakfasts were outstanding! We cannot fault our stay.

Looking for a peaceful place to stay in the south of England I naturally googled Airbnb. After checking the area against our route, I found the delightful Mulberry Barn was ideally situated. I rather foolishly booked without checking the reviews first, a couple of which were rather damning but I later found these to be totally unbelievable. After securing the room Laura sent directions to us which turned out to be very accurate and we were soon parking our Land Rover and long covered car trailer on the ample parking area of Mulberry Barn within its beautiful gardens. We were met immediately by a friendly face introducing herself as Laura, she showed us to our beautiful room and enquired if we would like a tea or coffee, this was very gratefully received having travelled for 7 hours that day. We sat and enjoyed a lovely coffee in the equally lovely outside seating area and admired the surrounding garden, land and the beautiful house. Laura obviously has exquisite taste in fabrics and bedding which was all beautifully laundered and smelled line dried (one of my all time favourite smells). Normally we stay in country house hotels and so it was easy to forget this is was a bed and breakfast NOT a hotel and we were staying in a very special family home so we chatted with Laura for a while, filled in a breakfast form, which is a great idea, then showered and retired to our room which was squeaky clean with a TV and facilities to make a drink. Although the dedicated bathroom was just across the hall it was closer than some ensuite bathrooms and we never felt we were sharing the family bathroom (which we weren’t) it was also squeaky clean with a bath and very good shower. Breakfast was excellent in fact up there with the best. All in all Mulberry Barn is beautiful, clean and quiet. Charles and Laura are just lovely hosts the reviews I read must surely have been confused with another place, we couldn't find fault with anything, not that we were looking and if one can't respect somebody else's home and lovely things then perhaps they should book elsewhere like a cheap road side hotel. We highly recommend the Mulberry Barn and a well-deserved 5 of our stars to Charles and Laura . Thank you
