Absolutely love the location and staff. Everyone was helpful and friendly. It was very much like staying at home away from home. Great accommodations with several options and minutes away from historic Frederiksted and many west side beaches. Nothing beats a west end sunset. Cottages by the Sea is our go to location in St Croix. It's a great place to go and relax on the beach. The staff is top notch and the facilities are perfect for us.

We wanted to vacation at a spot on a beach and couldn't have picked a better place to stay. The beach is awesome with amazing sunsets. We chose the Cocktail Cottage and the view from the balcony was so beautiful. We opened the curtains every morning and saw paradise. Can't say enough good things about the staff. Very friendly and very helpful. If you go to St. Croix,,this is the only place to stay. Can't wait to return next year. One of the best week of our lives.

We had a great time at Cottages by the Sea! We had a very stressful trip getting there with canceled flights and arriving a day and a half later than planned without our luggage but the staff was very accommodating with us changing our dates last minute to stay longer and even gave us some coffee grounds for the morning since ours were in our luggage and we hadn’t made it to the store yet! Everyone there was so kind and helpful! And we even befriended Six the resort cat who joined us on our porch for sunset at night! We stayed in the cocktail cottage and it was great! Comfortable beds and good little kitchen and the beach view is amazing!

Spent a week here here with the family and couldn't be happier with our choice. Probably one of the best beaches on the island just steps outside the door. We swam or snorkeled here all but two days of our trip and at least one of us saw a turtle every day! The cottages provide some shared snorkeling gear and beach toys, as well as beach towels. Certainly not an all-inclusive resort, you are responsible for all your own meals (Our cottage had a well equipped kitchen, there are some nice gas grills on the property too, if you want to cook out), although there is a path the the little restraunt at the hotel right next door if you want to eat out. Frederiksted is maybe a mile drive away and it has all the dive shops you could want and a couple of nice beach bar/restaurant places. You'll definitely want a car to get around the island from here.

This was my first time to STX, and Cottages by the Sea are calling me back. I don't have anything to compare it to, but I wouldn't chance staying anywhere else. The location was perfect, the beach perfect, the grounds perfect, and the accommodations for my three sisters and me were the perfect place to celebrate a 70th birthday! It was casual and homey, and I'd love to go back there.

This is a great place with cozy cottages right on the beach. Whether you want a sea view or garden view cottage you’re so close to the beach it really doesn’t matter. We stayed in a garden view room and it was quiet and spacious. There are plenty of beach chairs and umbrellas to go around. There’s also a gas grill you can use for lunch or dinner. The staff at Cottages by the Sea are welcoming and helpful. They provide beach towels which is a plus. It’s great having a kitchenette with in your cottage with full sized refrigerator. We went to the local supermarket and loaded up on coffee and snacks and ended cooking several dinners on site. This place has an old-school rustic vibe that we really liked. Enjoy your stay.

The location is ideal! You can walk to Frdericksted (only 1/2 mile), but not in the middle of hustle and bustle. This is a family-owned business, Paul and Ruth are the onsite owners. We felt right at home as soon as we checked in. Sandy at the front office was very helpful and friendly. The set up is like a "compound" with everyone in their own individual cottage, yet, easy to get to know each other on the beach (literally, steps away). If you are looking for glitz, this place is not for you. Full kitchens make is easy to prepare meals in your cottage, along with a shared grilling area. Very cozy and "homey", I loved the atmosphere. It is no surprise guests return year after year.

If you want a gorgeous beach this is the place to be, great sand, good snorkeling, the chairs and umbrellas could you updating, but there are enough for everyone. Sandcastles next door is a good restaurant. Rooms are simple but have everything you need and are comfortable. I really like this place and hope to get back.
