New hotel, directly off the interstate and in a good area. It is a combined location with the Hilton Tru franchise. All the facilities were in great condition as it is all new. The lobby has fun play activities, such as a pool table and others. The breakfast is great, with a an automated pancake machine (first we’ve ever seen). The staff is very friendly. Overall would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Pros: The hotel itself is new, so the finishes are modern. Parking is free, and the hotel is on the edge of a quiet business park close to the freeway exit. The included breakfast is decent fare like a pancake and waffle station, breakfast potatoes, some sort of egg (scrambled or premade omelet), and some sort of meat (sausage or bacon). There is also oatmeal, a small selection of pastries, and english muffins. There is a selection of juices, but only if you don’t arrive for breakfast in the last half-hour that it’s served. Cons: If you like extremely firm mattresses, this is the hotel for you! Unfortunately, they weren’t comfortable to me. There was food left in the fridge from the previous guests, and there were dried spots of urine in front of the toilet when we arrived. This leads me to believe that our room didn’t get much cleaning if any before our arrival. The hotel can’t control this, but Michigan has legalized the sale of you-know-what, and the halls reeked strongly of that notorious skunky odor some days. Thankfully, the smell didn’t carry into our room. The bathroom fan didn’t work in our room. When we mentioned it at the front desk, they sent maintenance to fix it. When we returned in the evening, the fan was fixed, but there was drywall dust on the bathroom floor. Also, the bathroom fan might as well not exist. It runs on the lowest speed possible, and it’s motion-activated, meaning that it doesn’t even run while you’re in the shower. I foresee this hotel having mold problems down the road.

NOISEY. New construction but cheaply built. You WILL hear the room next door. As these are suites there will be longer term stays.

We enjoyed our stay here. The hotel was new, clean, and it was great to have a large fridge in the room. We enjoy staying at Home2Suites because the rooms have a fridge, freezer, couch, dishes, sink, etc. They also have breakfast included. These features are nice for our family, especially when traveling with our kids. The one issue in our room was some of the appliances weren’t set up/plugged in and the plugs in the nightstands didn’t seem to be connected to anything (so we weren’t able to use them). Definitely minor things. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.
