For such a new hotel, I would expect the details in the room to be cleaner. The lower walls in the entrance and bathroom were marked and soiled from previous customers. The carpeting didn't appear to be vacuumed. I brought my yoga mat for my workout, so I was pretty close to the carpeting, and it wasn't pretty. Also, leaving a spare toliet paper roll since you offer housekeeping every other day would be helpful.

I was with 3 other couples in our late 40's and early 50s staying in Grand Rapids to celebrate our friend's birthday. We had spent the day doing an outdoor escape room followed by dinner and then a ******* farm attraction. Shortly after checking in we decided to meet in the common area before heading out to get a drink. We were all sitting on the chairs quietly talking. One of our friends approached the front desk and asked if there were any sports bars in the area. The woman at front desk replied, "You can't be down here drinking, you can't hang out down here!" We were all surprised at her response and explained that none of us had any drinks. She then said, "You're probably already drunk, you've been drinking". We felt like we were being judged based out our skin color and it was very upsetting.

Staff was excellent. My husband had breathing problems and they were able to let us have room in first floor in close proximity to everything. Also breakfast area very clean and well supplied. Staff very cheerful
