This is a new hotel in Evergreen, AL so it is very clean. The king bed was comfortable and came with four pillows. When we called the front desk to request a couple more pillows we were told they didn't have any. There was an extra blanket in the closet. The hotel provides two towel sets which wasn't enough for us in August in Alabama. We did receive extra towel sets when requested. There is no concierge so you have to go down to the front desk to pick up the towels. Staff was friendly and helpful. Shower pressure was a bit low but worked well with hot water at the ready. There was no bathtub, just walk in shower. The breakfast was normal HI fare. AC was good, with a thermostat on the wall. Housekeeping only emptied the garbage cans and replaced soaps. They did not make the bed or otherwise straighten up. Not sure if this was policy or oversight. There was a small outdoor pool which we didn't use that looked very clean. There is also a fitness room. There's not a lot to do in Evergreen, but we hit a junk shop and found some interesting things. Also visited a local sausage place, Conecuh Sausage Company, but we couldn't bring our dog in there. My bf checked it out and reports it has food and gifts. We ordered delivery from Shrimp Basket which is just one block away. The Dasher couldn't find us (!) so the fried oysters got soggy. We had a good sandwich on the outdoor patio at The Shack where we were able to bring our dog. We would definitely stay there again, and it met our expectations for a Hampton Inn and had the bonus of being new.
