Charles is a fantastic host,very helpful,caring,loving and at your Beck and call.Birdsong Cottage Drakensberg is clean,neat and every room has an ensuite.Fully equipped kitchen.Great fireplace.Great weekend away.Had a lovely weekend.

Beautiful property, very clean and homely. Our hosts Richard & Sandra were really friendly and helpful with lots of info on local places to visit. Ample parking. Room was so comfortable, lots of nice little touches, fresh milk, chocolate, shortbread which was soooo yummy. Lovely balcony to sit and have a cuppa or your breakfast weather permitting. Right off the Al but with windows closed you could barely hear any traffic. Bed super comfortable and a delicious breakfast delivered to your door each morning. No faults or downsides (apart from I wish we could stay longer). Highly recommend.

Had a fabulous 3 night stay in this B&B. Great for exploring the local area. Our room, The Haven was on the first floor, and spacious. The room is beautifully laid out with everything to cater to your needs. bed was cosy and comfortable. Breakfast is delivered to room at your requested time, was delicious and adequate for our needs Our hosts Richard and Sandra were very attentive and have a great knowledge of the area. A wonderful special place to stay. If we are ever in the area again we’ll definitely be back .

Hosts were extremely welcoming. We felt really comfortable and the cottage is in a fantastic location to explore the surrounding areas such as Bamburgh and Alnwick. Richard has a lot of knowledge of Northumberland and is happy to advise and direct. The breakfast is really nice too. Overall, very enjoyable stay and would recommend to anyone.
