We stayed one night in a renovated room. The room was really nice, cozy and clean. Breakfast was an average - pretty good but nothing special (that's common in Sokos Hotels). The location is good in the center of Tahko. One big minus is that you can warm up your car only a half an hour at a time. It's definitely not enough in Finnish winter temperatures. So the only option is to spend two last accommodation hours in your room and walk to the parking lot to adjust the heating every half hour. That's really boring.

We had an anniversary of our wedding day. We got good service in phone and at desk also; we got the room what we wished. The room was good as expected from our earlier experience. But the reason we wrote here was the nice and pleasant person on the breakfast service. When she heard that we had the anniversary of our wedding day, she remembered us every morning with some extra service, also with pleasant humor and jokes. We are not sure, if the person name is allowed to mentioned here, but her name was Mi*na. Thank you very much, small things stays very valuable in our minds.

I visited Sokos Hotel Tahko first time after renovation and quality of new rooms are very high. I booked room which includes Sauna. It’s not big but ok for one or two persons. New rooms are modern and clean. There is drying cabinet for ski equipments as well. Breakfast was also ok.

We got excellent service at the reception desk. The officer could find us the room exactly according to our wishes. The just renovated room was very nice, clean and had a good styling and excellent view to the slopes. Also the intermediate cleaning of the room was done accurately under a given time period. We could also enjoy the good and rich breakfasts in the spacious restaurant. The only minus during our visit was that there was construction work going on, but the noise caused was luckily low.

Coming in to the hotel, it did not look anything like in the sokos hotels app. They had put a fake picture on top i assume what it will look like after 2 years of construction. Receiptionist did not give or tell me about any s-card premium features nor did she give me an upgrade on room when the hotel was basically empty. Walking outside was a dangerzone as the roads, parking lot were not sanded or taken care of. Rooms were remonted but the beds were shaking. Toiled lid was broken, room was not cleaned properly as i found someones empty viagra cases from the bed. On the morning i woke up at 7 am to annoucment that there will be a explosion. I had booked for two nights but had to change the hotel because i could not stand it any longer.

I did read the reviews Tripadvisor gives concerning this hotel and they were not flattering. We needed a place to stay for the school winter holiday and were late to book a cabin at Tahko, so we booked a room in the hotel. Expectations were not too high, especially since we had been many years ago in the hotel’s restaurant and bar and I did have a mental picture of a dated slightly shabby premises. Anyway, the hotel turned out to be a positive surprise. I think hotel might have been renovated lately, since our room was pretty fresh as was the bathroom. Shower corner even had a bright trasparent yellow plastic part which strongly hints a pretty recent refurbishment. Family room was spacy enough, the kids had these foldable beds which u can fold (turn?) on the wall, and thus have more space. Tv was very big and minibar exists but empty. Hotel’s restaurant I reviewed separately, and it was quite ok. Breakfast contains the usual u tend to have in Finland (which by the way is better than many places elsewhere in the world andit is included) but I’d say a tad better. Breakfast room (ie the restaurant) is pretty big but obviously busy in the prime time. Finns are polite and orderly people, which means all works just fine in the breakfast. Hotel has a sauna downstairs which was pretty nice, probably renovated as well. Sauna on the men’s and women’s side and a steambath which is unisex. Fortunately this is hotel, which restricts the often undesirable steambath stalkers. Bar in the lobby was quite nice and cozy as well, pretty small though. Slopes are very near, so you can fairly easily walk there. Big parking lot behind the hotel (free). All in all, my expectations were not too high, but they were exceed with flying colours. Service was very kind especially in the restaurant. Week 8 is expensive, that we knew already beforehand. Actually, I’m trying hard to think of something to complain but I cant figure out anything....we enjoyed our stay

First thing expected of a hotel stay is a good night sleep. Not going to happen in this hotel. Our room was just opposite of a night club and the bass was banging and resonating the whole night. People and cars were making a hell of a noise in between the hotel and the club. After and before that the hotel was an absolute nightmare for a family stay. The hotel was hosting a huge party for young partygoers who shouted and disturbed other people staying in the hotel. Never going to stay in this hotel again. Also Tahko as a destination for a family vacation should not be considered by anyone who respects a good night sleep and a sporty lifestyle. Also the room is from a 90s cruise ship, the price does not match the quality at all and the hotel looks outdated.
