I spent 6 days at Newarkon Trent and the whole time theheating in theroom did not work. I complained the first night and was told to use a portable convector heater as the problem had only just happened. I then found I had a faulty kettle which blew the electrics in my room. When I complained to the manageress when she eventually turned up, it transpired the heating had not been working for sometime. Her staff were told not to tell the customers untilnthey complained. I made a formal complaint to their Head Office but as yet, 12 days later, I have not heard any reply from them. Very, very poor service !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We arrived to find stains on the sheets and lipstick on the pillow, spoons and cups had not been cleaned. Took pictures and showed them to a Travelodge team member who reluctantly gave us a different room, no apology but thinly disguised contempt. The next room the spoons and cups had not been cleaned. Very disappointing but last week we stayed at the Newark Premier Inn and it was first class.

I am disabled and in a wheelchair, everytime i went through a door I kept getting stuck on the floor with my wheelchair. No toothpaste of tooth brushes or shampoo, and no hairdryer too. I was woken up at abt 1am someone banging on my door, I was afraid and couldnt contact anyone as the wifi that you have to pay for is so week. I was also woken up again at 8am the next morning by a member of staff asking me if my shower was leaking. Overall a disappointing stay considering how much we paid with no internet I will never stay in any of their hotels ever again.

For the money paid, the Travelodge at Newark was a good value place for a one night stay on a business trip. The room appeared newly refurbished, was clean, quiet, spacious and comfortable and importantly I slept like a log. My sat nav gave some crazy directions to the postcode shown for the recommended NCP car park. Access to the car park is on the main road, it looks closed on first glance but the shutters will rise as your car pulls up to the entrance.

Did exactly as expected. Good value, clean, quiet, basic accommodation, just what I needed. Welcoming helpful staff, particularly with parking in the centre of this busy market town.

Got the room for a good price (£30 ish). Think I would have felt differently if the room had been closed to the £60 mark. I wasn't asked for any other information other than name and how many nights when I got to the hotel. Probably the briefest check in experience I've ever had at a hotel. Quite dusty, but all the important areas were clean.
