First room shown stank of tobacco indicating poor awareness of Management of its room quality . Second room had no heating & was extremely cold . The housekeeper knocked loudly on our door at checkout time requesting that we vacate the room. We requested for half an hour extension as my wife had yet to blow dry her hair etc but he refused demanding that we vacate within 10 minutes. We subsequently complained about the rude treatment at hotel reception but were lectured that rules are rules . Evident lack of respect and empathy for guests, higher priority given to housekeepers convenience although room occupancy was very low.

Travelled with my daughter, staff were welcoming and friendly. Room and bathroom were cleaned to a good standard. The hotel is literally next to the bus station, but hardly heard anything! Hotel was pretty quiet during our 3 night stay. I opted for the breakfast and meal deal when booking. Dinner was delicious, especially the pizza! Breakfast a bit disappointing. Lack of ‘fresh’ tasty options. Run out of milk on the last morning! Key component to starting any day. I would stay here again, overall great. Just breakfast needs work in my opinion.

The hotel was clean, staff friendly, bed super comfy. The only issue was the shower pressure was so low showering was difficult. The location was great, right near the main bus station. Access to more advice regarding bus travel would have been helpful as there was no one at the station to help.

From the moment we arrived we were welcomed warmly by a friendly helpful member of staff, every staff member over the weekend was fab and went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The room was immaculate and well kept, we had everything we needed - we slept well in comfy beds and the breakfast was lovely too. Would absolutely recommend

Nice clean spacious room. Had most things you could need. No hairdryer but could request one. A little noise at night from the Wetherspoons facing, but finished when pub closed. Overall a nice stay but expensive for what you get. At £220 per night on this occasion, I would at least expect a bottle of water and glasses in the room. Probably wouldn’t stay again at that price

Great value for money at Travelodge – just £44 for a night. The room was clean and comfortable with good bedding and a strong shower. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the stay even better. We usually look for a Travelodge first when booking, as it consistently delivers reliability and comfort at a fair price.
