I attended a conference at The Shediac Hotel. Overall we had a lovely stay. The room was lovely and the balcony was very nice. Lots of room. Beds were comfortable. (That said the phone in the room is broken but likely not used often). The staff seemed personable and were helpful when needed. My review is about the food. I was excited for the meals and dinner presentations but they left most of us very underwhelmed and disappointed. Breakfast - the eggs were overcooked and cold despite being in the warmer. They also did not have any cereal, yogurt or bread options on the first day (just muffins and dessert breads) so most of us were hungry. The tea and coffee provided (in the carafes were not hot - tea was warm and coffee was luke warm at best - not just once but the whole conference). One dinner presentation was make your own pasta - the pasta was so cold. Not warm in the warmer at all. The sauces were luke warm again. The chicken was like processed chicken. The only good thing was the steamed vegetables which were delicious and prepared well. Supper the next night was salmon or chicken. They were just okay. The bread buns were not ready when we started eating and we had to go back once the staff put things out. The rice was overcooked and dry/hard. Salmon has some sweet off putting sauce on it that my table scraped off. The desserts all looked prepackaged and nothing homemade. The bistro is WAY overpriced for what they offer and the quality.

A great place to stay in Shediac. The room has everything you could wish for - a balcony, big vanity, comfortable bed, plenty of closet space, two chairs and a table and lots of parking. Definitely recommended!
