We stayed at this hotel as a staging point for island hopping and dolphin watching with Malapaya Tours. It's very cozy and is frequented by locals which gives it a nicely authentic touch. It feels more like a restaurant with some rooms attached than the other way. The staff and the hotel manager are very friendly and helpful. We booked a bungalow, which is huge and has a nice porch to sit. The room was very clean and offers all basic amenities including ceiling fan and air conditioning only the hot water heater gave out on us (this is an issue we encountered in all our philippino hotels so far, so nothing new there). Our bungalow was situated right next to the restaurant's kitchen and had no blinds so we felt a bit exposed. The restaurant is the highlight of this hotel. We got to try a lot of delicious philippino dishes (try the minced meat rolled into lumpia leaf) while enjoying the beautiful view over Taytay's harbour and Fort Isabella.
