An overall lovely experience. A beautiful, peaceful room with a stunning bathroom left very clean for my arrival by Aimee and Rachael. Literally, as you open the door and enter the room - wow! The perfect location for exploring the local area and I would absolutely, most definitely stay here again.

Firstly. The food was great. The pub was nice and the staff were excellent. I stayed in the hotel room 11 for 2 nights. The room size was good and the bed was very comfortable. However the condition of the room was very very poor indeed. Paint peeling off the walls in several places. Black mold around windows and a huge damp problem. The room smelled like walking into an old church. The 2 disposable moisture absorbers in the bedroom isn’t good and really I should have complained and changed rooms but I was very tired and had other things I had to deal with.

We went there with a group of 12 walkers and were very impressed. The service from start to finish was excellent, thank you very much. All the food was good, it was all served at the same time, and was all freshly prepared. The bar and restaurant are lovely, lots of oak beams and fireplaces. It all looks well looked after.

I never write reviews but I had an amazing stay here! It has old charm but has been modernised just the right amount. The food was INCREDIBLE! We all ate in almost complete silence until we had finished because it was so delicious. We had both dinner and breakfast and enjoyed both. The rooms were clean and large and the staff were very quick to help.

Good price, ideal for one night. This was our 3 rd time staying here, & our smallest room yet. We will stay again as it's perfect position for visiting family

Looking for somewhere to stay for 1 night close to Barby found the ‘Dun Cow’ read all of the reviews which were good so decided to book. What a lovely location in Dun Church which is quite a pretty village ,most impressed on arriving for starters the size of car park so no problems parking. On entering the hotel the lay out plenty of tables spaced well apart. The size of the room was really large comfortable bed & bathroom very clean. Had our evening meal in the restaurant served by Alisha who was clearly very busy but delivered 100% customer service through out the meal most charming young lady a real credit to Dun Cow hope they appreciate her 👏.Also had breakfast the following morning excellent value

Great stay for one night while in the area for work. Team were friendly and efficient and Lisa at breakfast was fantastic. Hotel was clean and the rooms were not that noisy given the location next to a road. For the price etc it represented good value for money. Some decorative work could benefit the site in the hotel and pub as it is well worn in areas.

We have just enjoyed an excellent meal at the very welcoming Dun Cow Inn at Dunchurch. Our meals were very well presented, and we were looked after beautifully by our very efficient waitress, Evie. I particularly appreciated the time and care she took to give me advice relating to my gluten allergy. We would also like to compliment Jonathan on the smooth-running of the restaurant. Altogether, we had a very pleasant evening, and can thoroughly recommend The Dun Cow. We will certainly be going again.

Staff friendly and helpful. We were able to check in early even though the room wasn’t yet available so that we could go off to the family event we were attending and come back late to sleep. Room and bed comfortable and room clean. The cooked breakfast was good. However most establishments also include yogurt, fruit, pastries etc. Here, we would have been charged extra for them. This is not what your competition does.

We went here to enjoy a family dinner after our youngest granddaughters ( 18 months) nativity play. The staff are lovely. However, the food wasn’t as expected. A baby’s portion at £8.50 is far too expensive. I ordered a starter as a main as a royal scallop and prawn, on an onion mash for £11.50 sounded as if it would be enough. Totally wrong! It was served in a tapas dish, very small portion and tiny portion of bread. My husband’s hunters chicken schintznal, didn’t have any sauce, sauce was very dry. I don’t mind paying extra but this was ridiculous.
