The hotel itself was in a quiet area but still only 5 minute walk to shops, bars restaurants of which there were plenty. Lovely pool area at the hotel and also at the beach bar. The restaurant in town (part of the hotel) was also very good. All staff in all 3 locations were very good. Efficient, friendly and happy to help. Our only negative I suppose was just how busy the beach was with sunbeds crammed in. And also the town of Malia was a little toooo lively for us - if that's what you want, great. If you prefer a quieter village/town with one or two tavernas and restaurants, then this may not be for you.
