Spent two days in the Logis des Tourelles. The welcome could not have been warmer, the room was fantastic and the breakfast delicious..... recommend the hot chocolate. Our host recommended two excellent restaurants in Cognac and even booked one them for us. Just a brilliant stay. Thank you!

This is a lovely little place to stay if visiting Cognac. It is in a fabulous location within walking distance of all the cognac houses and main attractions but in a very quiet and peaceful setting. The pool and garden areas are lovely with plenty of chairs, sofas and loungers to sit in the sun or shade if you wish. Patricia goes out of her way to make sure you have the best time and has all the local contacts to make that happen so make sure you contact her in good time if you'd like help with arranging anything! It was my husband’s special birthday and she arranged and suggested things that even as a seasoned traveller and organiser I could not have done myself and in addition she pre-booked necessary taxis and airport transfers for us - Thank you Patricia! The room we stayed in was spacious with plenty of storage, a decent shower and a very good hairdryer. The bed was comfy with good linens and pillows and even though our room faced the local street we heard very little noise from other guests or from the outside area in general. Some things to note however that might be useful for future guests: 1. No toiletries are supplied other than a bar of hand soap and a bar of body/hair wash soap. Not a problem for us as we travel with our own toiletries anyway. 2. The room is not serviced automatically every day but will be if you request it. 3. At the time of our visit there was heatwave 36-42c (occurring more frequently in France these days) but the property does not have air conditioning. Despite closing the shutters and windows during the day as suggested it was still extremely hot at night (29-30c) and a fan would have been very welcome during our stay! 4. Check-in is at 16:00, we arrived earlier and were able to leave our luggage as our room wasn’t ready and pop down to a local bar about 5 minutes walk away for a cool beer. Cross over the Pont Neuf bridge and take the steps down on the left hand side and there’s a bar on your right hand side as you walk away from the bridge. Signs say “Meteor” but on Google maps it’s Le pont qui bouge (Bar Guinguette) iand it's probably the nearest one to the Logis. 5. The house is not obvious from the road, there is no sign at the front of the gates but the Google map location is exact and I've attached a photo of the front of the property! A fresh and delicious breakfast with a little variation each day was served outside on the terrace consisting of juice, bread, pastries, fruit, yoghurt, meat and cheeses, just right to set you up for the day ahead. There is a help yourself area in the dining room for drinks at other times. Overall a very lovely and charming place to stay and despite the heat we had a fabulous stay at the Logis and Cognac thanks to Patricia!

We had a lovely stay for two nights whilst house hunting in the region. Everything was perfect. From the warm friendly reception, the very comfortable room, the amazing breakfasts and convivial conversation with the owner and other guests. The location of the Logis was also perfect. Tucked away in the quiet heart of the old town but within minutes walk from the Cognac houses and centre of the town. The whole place has been renovated recently and feels very high end. Would go back in a flash.
