We had a night stay in this hotel on our return from Badrinath. The rooms are spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. Our a-la-carte dinner was good. They served freshly prepared meals. Breakfast, though was not so lavish, however was good and they were prepared to serve as per our order. Overall it’s a value for money.

This hotel is very expensive. I had booked this hotel for my parents and relatives for the 3 nights with superior rooms with breakfast. Breakfast spread was nice. Although they had dinner at the restaurant which was very costly. Like one icecream Scoop is for 120 rupees. Rooms are nice and clean. Also reception staff was very helpful and supportive. Thank you holy river hotel.

Lovely staff.. right from the reception to the cafeteria and the room service.. The gentleman who received us as the reception was warm and welcoming. The sweet lady at the breakfast was kind and helpful.. and the room service guys were well mannered too. Everyone we met and spoke to was nice and obliging. Rooms were clean and breakfast was nice too.

We stayed here for three nights in Superior Rooms. Firstly, the pro's- The rooms are clean and the hotel is located near market place and the room charges are reasonable; comparatively. The staff are well behaved. The breakfast spread is small but well prepared. The food is good. The Laxman Jhoola ( closed at present) is about 750 metres from the hotel but the road is crowded. The cons- We could not find what is the difference between the superior room and the other rooms. The rooms have no view. The bathroom was small and no glass partition in the bathing area which led to water spraying all over the walking area in the bathroom. Despite our much earlier message as senior citizens , we were not allotted adjacent rooms so we were shifted to lower floor for the same and both rooms allotted to us were different, although we had booked Superior rooms. It seems their best rooms are reserved for overseas visitors who find the hotel cheap and good and give publicity to the hotel. . The food prices were exorbitant from Rishikesh standards. The single Tawa Roti( chapati) cost Rs.80 and one paratha cost Rs.120? The Spa is one *** show and he fell sick during our stay so could not avail his services when we required. The Gym is very small and accessible only with one floor stairs. Overall, it was not a very happy stay.
