We usually like Fairfield Inns but this one was not great. We stayed so we could enjoy an evening at Symphony on the Prairie. The check in process was great. But the room would not get cool. The fan, even though set to "ON," ran for a few minutes then shut off. All night on and off. The breakfast was less than edible- biscuits were too hard to eat, they only had 1 muffin left (an hour left in service when we got to breakfast), and even the bananas were too green to eat.
I told them the AC issue at check out and they said they would "add points to my account" but that hasn't happened.

Exceptional staff and service
The room was clean and comfortable, and the premises was well maintained, but what really put our stay over the top was the service and the friendly hotel staff! We arrived prior to check in and the staff went above and beyond to make us comfortable as our room was prepared, they were very knowledgeable about the events happening around the city, and so friendly throughout our whole stay.

This was the first time staying here and I will be back. The location is great! The restaurant next door is convenient and just 1 exit up there are a ton of places to dine. The staff were great and very kind.

Great room, bed was great, tub/shower was great and we slept great. Couldn’t ask for more except to turn off that blinking light in the smoke detector, right above the beds. LOL
