I will definitely be returning to Riverwood again! Brekfast besides being sumptous, was made beautiful by the attending staff catering to all of our varied requests . The roaming peakocks in our view while we were breakfasting made it a wonderful experience.Thank you Riverwood for making my /our stay memorable.

We had a most enjoyable experience over 6 days & 5 nights. The hospitality, food & staff were just beyond expectations. The positive attitude was pervading. Whatever little shortcomings were overcome by the helpful & zealous staff. All in all kudos to the team great experience and shall enthusiastically recommend

This area has a large number of resorts but Riverwood stands out among them for its coziness, amenities, food and service. The rooms are well furnished with all amenities (including a heater). The WiFi is free and fast. The check-in and check-out experience was super smooth, and all requests and queries were attended to immediately. The super efficient manager is Mr.Rahul. All the sightseeing and airport pick-up/drops were arranged through the hotel. The most memorable part of our stay was the service from the staff, who were extremely helpful and courteous. The food too, was delicious and the menu was never repeated for any meal on any day of our stay. Housekeeping was also great, with a high level of cleanliness. The first floor rooms have a better view from the verandah. Sleep quality is very good in all the rooms. Note that the bathroom tiles are very slippery, and shower mats would be a good addition.

We, 11 senior citizen school buddies, and our partners, totaling 17, spent 5 exhilarating days in the The Riverwood Forest Retreat Dooars during 15-20 January 2026. We had booked all the 12 rooms and therefore had exclusive access to the property and its facilities. The main features of Riverwood Dooars that stand out are: 1. Serenity: The calmness and peaceful nature of the place, devoid of the bustle of city life, was overwhelming. 2. Nature: The property is filled with trees and a large pond, with birds chirping and even peacocks squawking. 3. Service: Excellent set of staff, with Rahul and Birendra Lama making impeccable arrangements that all of us enjoyed. We particularly found that the food served was just what we wanted - well cooked, tasteful and varied. 4. Arrangements: We booked through their Delhi office, and Ms. Simran and Ms. Yamini were very cooperative and helpful in making all the arrangements, such as airport transfers, tours & safaris, music, bonfires, tribal dance, etc. Mind you, Riverwood is not a "Hotel", its a Retreat, and that suited us just fine because we were not looking for the "sleekness" of a Hotel. The rooms were large enough and well-appointed, though some work may need to be done on a few bathrooms, nothing serious though. Absolutely and highly recommended.

We stayed at Riverwood Forest three nights in late November 2025. It's a beatiful place, Quit, calmful and with a very good atmosphere. The staff (all of them) are very kind, caring and at the same time professional. And the food is great! They easily helped us with transfer and activities. We really felt like beeing taken care o!. I can truly recommend this resort if you plan to go to Dooars!

The ambiance of the resort was absolutely perfect for a true nature lover. There was complete serenity and the rural landscape and wilderness surrounding the property made it a delight to explore the place. I was travelling solo as a woman and the entire staff made me feel very safe and comfortable. They arranged all the safaris and sightseeing tours for me and I thoroughly enjoyed it all. I definitely would recommend this place to others and also to solo female travellers.

Amazing quiet place, tranquility all around. We stayed at Premium Room. Room was amazing, clean and comfortable well maintained. Though the cottage was in the midst of many trees, their service personnel were very friendly and efficient. Best part was their Dining Hall on the banks of a small river and their food. Food are freshly cooked and served. Taste and quantity were amazing.

Great place to stay. The view is just awesome. From restaurant you can see peacocks all around the resort accompanied by wild boar. If you are lucky enough you may encounter with wild elephants at late night(we were not lucky this time) Food: Awesome would be an understatement. Very tasty food and serves smokey hot. Behaviour of stuff are very polite and very helpful. No complaints. A very special thanks to Lana ji(I don’t know his first name) Mr. Rahul Thapa and Mr. Chanchal.
