Uncomfortable beds, chemically smelling room
No card key to enter into building.
Room smelled chemically clean. Mirror had smears, dust on edges, and window was dirty. Rusty door way. Very uncomfortable bed. Coffee pot missing tray to make coffee.
I was told I was getting the best ground floor suite.
Lucky they had coffee available all the time in the lobby. We had trouble with our tv for about 30 minutes, until someone came and fixed.
Breakfast area wasn't being kept up. Someone left some of there waffle crust in the waffle maker and it was burnt. English muffins were stale, and eggs were cold. All the while someone sat at the front desk talking on speaker phone. Keep in mind the lobby/front desk and Breakfast area are all 1 area.
I was told since I used a 3 party she couldn't give me a receipt. I told her I was going to give a bad review, she removed her broken glasses and said she wasn't going argue with me about a receipt she couldn't give, then walked away.
I won't be back.

It was a nice stay. Easy to find. I was thinking it was on the water and closer in town. You sort of turn in to a neighborhood so I didn’t love the location. However, easy checkin, nice big king size room. Love that there was shampoo, conditioner and body wash right in the shower. Standard choices for the continental breakfast. Very nice staff. Lots of parking.

Small town of Oscoda, better than the other small independent motels nearby.. it was off season so didn't expect much, pool was fine, rooms clean and the bathroom was clean as well.. Towels left much to be desired.. otherwise, for one night, it was just fine.

1st room had leak and mold in bathroom. Found spider in bed.
They gave us new room that was slightly bigger. No exhaust fan in bathroom.

Ok for the price
The hotell does have free breakfast. It said online that it didnt so that was a nice surprise. The staff were fine, the room looked like it was cleaned. The building is just older and needs to be updated but thats not really anything to do with the staff. The room is small. I had my baby with me and there was hardly enough room to fit his stroller in the room without blocking the walk way around the bed. Overall it was just ok but definitely seemed better than other options in the area for the price.

The owners were INCREDIBLE and accommodating and all around wonderful. Had the best stay and time. Place was great and rooms were cozy

For Breakfast, it would be really nice to have a couple pitchers of ice water on the counter. MULTIPLE guests could not believe that WATER was not an option at breakfast. Some prepackaged donuts & danishes would be nice as well.
