Off season, spoke with the staff, they were super friendly. Lovely, simple hotel! The room was large, clean and charming. Previous guests had problems with access and lack of hospitality. In fact there are two hotels ran by the same staff. The fancier hotel (Lou Calen) have staff in the reception and in the restaurant. It’s a few steps across the street and they will help you with a physical key etc. I revisited Cotignac after 17 years, it is still a lovely village to visit! The WiFi certificate still needs to be updated 🙂

Hotel La Falaise is in a beautiful renovated old building. Our room was spacious.
Checking in can be difficult and frustrating. We never received the code we needed to access the property, so we waited a long time in front of the building. Finally, a man from the Lou Calen Hotel across the street came with another person who was trying to access the building. He told us that Hotel La Falaise and Lou Calen Hotel share the same reception. He took us over to the Lou Calen and checked us in. Also, there were no towels in the room, so they brought us towels and got us an extra chair. Citignac is a wonderfully charming town with several excellent restaurants.

Lovely place. I had a room where I could see the main road and the market down the way. The room was clean, well appointed and had a beautiful bathroom. Of course it was clean. I would certainly go again.
